That's a really elaborate story lol. I wonder who came up with it? I didn't read what you wrote above it so actually believed it until the whole "impaled by selfie sticks" thing XD (because, people may just be dumb enough to sneak selfie sticks onride)
-
Well, this discussion seems to have escalated quickly...
-
^Or your cellphone! I made that mistake a few years ago... it didn't end well XD
-
Surprised they're re-trademarking Titan. Gale Force 7 sounds like some sort of water ride related name; probably for SFA's Waterpark Expansion
-
I rode it yesterday and while i really enjoyed it, I can't see it becoming permanent. It's a really intense experience and the g's are even crazier when you can't see them coming. It's not too re-ridable and I agree that it's perfect as a limited run experience.

The link to the survey actually works now. Click here
EDIT: Now that we have a sense of how massive this space is, It actually may not be an S&S Free Fly after all. What else it could be is the question though.
-
I'll take the link to the survey. We DO need more Superhero rides, because we started that theme, why not finish it? I don't want another "Looping Dragon" name, which is completely irrelevant to anything in our park. Our park needs more Theming, so unless the next ride is going to be part of a new section (Some of you guys are saying "Fantasy Forest" or something, I'm not sure if that's already a section in our park, or if you're saying it will be), which I can't see happening if they're putting the new ride where the Grandstand is because it's not a big section unless they flatten out everything there, I prefer another Superhero ride.
I would put it here but the link no longer works for some reason.

"it's"

I agree haha. We have green, red, purple, yellow, and brown. Blue or orange would be nice, or something black or white. At least it's not CP where half the coasters are red
-
Not related to the speculation exactly but I got a survey today that asks you to rate how familiar you are with comic super villains and how much you'd like to see them as future attractions. Some of them were Marvel characters! I'll link if anyone is interested.
-
^Yup. I hope more parks do this, they're getting very annoying.
-
The announcement confirms it. I guess Roar really is going to be RMC'd. I wonder what they could do with that GCI layout. It is surprising though that they're doing this to a rather new woodie; If i'm correct, it was only built in 1999...
-
I would definitely be ok with the Banshee style restraints on GL, but the train does have to be slightly wider to accommodate the restraints
-
^Very well could be. I can't believe we still have to wait until September for this announcement! It seems like these announcements get later every year
-
However, they do eliminate the headbanging problem that plagues a lot of OTSR (especially the large B&M version on standups) restraints, which is more than worth it in my opinion.
-
I second that statement about the lakefront. It was nice to be able to walk through that part to avoid crowds crossing the park and just relax and enjoy the view. Shame it has to end now
-
Are there any of your classic hints for next year's attraction?
-
^Rougarou's trains are indeed slightly modified to accommodate the higher heartline. Shame they couldn't install the newer Banshee style vest restraints but I read somewhere that they didnt want the train to be too wide.
-
^lol why in the world would you replace Bizarro with a Boomerang? They both have loops and cobra rolls but Bizarro is infinitely better. A launch coaster though on the other hand could theoretically be worth it.
-
^Or Dorney never getting the Windseeker. I forgot why though. I wish they got one, it would be nice to be able to try one of those close by, though I'm trying the one at KD next week
-
The supports are designed to sway a little anyway. Have you ever seen Kingda Ka after a train launches? The whole thing shakes like an earthquake for like 2 minutes! Even if that is true, it's just unaware people getting scared of something the ride was designed to do.
-
^Because people don't think most of these things will happen (or at least completely)
-
^Howerver, GL has higher positive g's than Bizarro, and the layout is a bit more intense. People were saying that Rougarou was very intense having previously been a standup. They also say while it's a great floorless now, it's not the best one (for some reason people go crazy for Kraken). I'm really not sure what the experience would be like unless I actually rode it with the floorless trains, but I think while the experience would be a bit dampened for the reasons Railer said above, the intensity of the layout would make up for it
-
Apparently Magic Mountain is having a lot of trouble getting it to duel. People are saying it only duels 50% of the time, and that the ride is much better with the dueling. This is mainly because dispatches have to be very quick, and people who are too large to fit in the restraints and people who have loose objects are making dispatches slower.
Could Green Lantern become a floorless like Mantis?

^Agreed. I highly dislike that aspect.
