I too would *love* this, with other small refurbs all along the street and costumed characters, stilt walkers, etc. – which seems in line with what the new management tea is trying to do. Unfortunately they'd probably be too worried about lost games revenue 🙄

SeaWorld Orlando has scattered their games throughout the park which, from my point of view, could be more profitable. At GA, parents can completely avoid the games area…

I went to Six Flags Great Adventure today for the first time since 2015! I flew up to NJ this weekend for a bridal shower and decided it was way too long since I've been. Despite the holiday, there were barely any waits. So glad I could go!

I know I’m going to say “oh yeah” when I read it but does anyone know the name of the song that is first played in the show soundtrack?  For the life of me I can’t remember it.

  4. The following game is still available, and OCMDBeach1 is looking to be rid of it - please PM her ASAP if interested.

I bought this game years ago when it came out but never had the time to actually play the game.

All original unique pewter pieces are included.

This would make a great gift for the Great Adventure fan of your house. $20.00

    ***NOTE***

If you are interested in purchasing the game I can bring it to the park with me before the end of the season.

I'm not sure if I'll be getting a season pass next year & also live 45 minutes away from the park.

A pic of another person's copy of this game:

  5. IMHO I thought the parade was a waste of resources at the time that could have used for new flats.

...but there were still rides to ride. This parade came at a time when the park's entertainment offerings were also plummeting: Showcase had already been closed off, Temple of the Tiger was already stripped of its initial creativity, and the only other offerings that come to mind were at Fort Independence (shows twice a day if you're lucky) and children's shows at the Wiggles World stage and in Looney Tunes National Park - no thank you.

It's okay to want flats to balance the thrill rides... but some of us have really liked the shows there, too, which further diversify the day's experiences. It's the main reason that, until recent years, BGW has been my favorite park - it had a perfect balance of all.

Anyway - definitely the best entertainment I've seen at GA and, without question, gone too soon.
