I would rather drive my own car. That way I have control at stopping and looking at what I want to see.
Too many people roll down their windows to feed the animals. On the VIP Safari tour, we learned some animals have been fed non-food items such as batteries just because the people wanted to see what they would eat. This resulted in unnecessary invasive surgery for the safari's residents. Add to it the stuff that is technically edible but not good for them, and it's worth eliminating the potential for these problems...

how awesome would a steam engine train with enclosed cars bee going through the safari, id ride it on every trip!
I'd prefer open cars, like on the Safari at Busch Gardens Tampa

That. Is. AWESOME. Thank you!!!
Happy birthday, Luis!

Wow, it's a lot closer to Granny's than I expected...
I noticed the little red & white arches at the bottom of the metal roof aren't lit in any of the pictures:

From the park's facebook page, 7/30/12:

Fender benders is coming along great, about 75% of the roof is completed and will be hoisted up, id say it could be ready in 2-3 weeks!
Any pics?

From Screamscape:
Park News - (7/23/12) The zombie apocalypse is coming to Six Flags Great Adventure on August 4th with the premier of the first-annual Zombie Takeover event, presented by the NJ Zombie Walk. More than one thousand people are expected to dress up as Zombies and join in the official Zombie Parade at 8pm, as well as exclusive access to select coasters from 10:15pm to Midnight. (Instead of ERT, can we call this ZRT = Zombie Ride Time?)There will also be a Z-Factor zombie show at 4pm where the visiting zombies can try out their skills… and even audition for Fright Fest in the process. Buy the extra meal-ticket in advance and your welcome to visit the Pre-Apocalypse Meal, an all-you-can-eat buffet from 5-7pm in the Picnic Grove. (But… will they be serving Brainzzzz?!!?)
You can purchase a discount admission ticket online for just $34.99 by using the promotion code: ZOMBIE. Discounts for the extra event are also available to passholders. For all the details and rules about when the Zombies are allowed to roam visit the official website.

Great Adventure has a survey on their facebook page asking about show ideas for next year.
One of the ideas is a Daytime/Nighttime fountain show and laser lights.
From Screamscape:
2013 - New Entertainment - Rumor - (7/20/12) The latest rumors suggest that we wont see a new ride at SFGAdv for 2013 and that the park will instead focus on internal improvements and a new entertainment package that could include a summer fireworks show. The next big ride may have to wait until 2014. -
Ehhh. I'm sorry but I'm not going to sell them. lol Its my pride and joy. I'm sorry.
Going forward, responses should be serious offers from those willing to part with an item or items for a certain price.
We didn't start this part of the forums as a way for people to say "Look what I have and you don't."

It's insane that GA charges more for parking than Disney and Busch yet doesn't run trams...
-
Forest - paintball's old spot
I'd rather see nothing there - Dream Street unencumbered from end to end.

One of the ideas is a Daytime/Nighttime fountain show and laser lights.
And that is what I voted for

the park confirmed the rumor on there facebook page this evening,
Six Flags Great Adventure: Cody was a beloved member of the Six Flags family and is greatly missed. Our priority is to do what is best for Avalon. At Six Flags Discovery Kingdom he rejoins many other dolphins and will be part of a breeding program to preserve dolphins for generations to come. We look forward to several new additions to our family at Fort Independence soon.about an hour agoTHIS:
It's not like they're just taking out the dolphin show. We're still going to have a sea lion show, which will probably be close to, if not just as fun. Besides, this wasn't just a decision the park made for no reason. One of the dolphins passed away. From what I've heard, the park is evaluating their options, and will likely have a new show later in the summer. -
With the money saved from not having the dolphin show they could run Glow in the Park...
AMEN!!!

Happy Birthday, Dainan!

To date, this has probably been the Spotlight that has required the most research on an attraction.
I learned a LOT about Dutch windmills in trying to identify some of the structures for this...

I've hardly seen people drink coffee when I go to Universal.
No offense, but I doubt you were looking specifically for it
Hot coffee sells well in all of the Orlando/Tampa parks among the foreign tourists, especially at the park bake shops...

We've been discussing this for quite some time over here; we actually have some newer members from Brazil who have been quite helpful.
