The food was incredible on this ship.
Did you have a Nemo cupcake?

Most perplexing trip report ever...
This was Patrick's birthday trip and as you see, he is not too thrilled with going to Wild Adventures, but he did want to get his coaster count up before we go to California in June.I'm with GAcoaster - Tampa! I believe two of you have passes, and I bet the third could have been comped in through your connections.

Notice how the Amity restrooms has black banners hanging on the windows.
They're red & navy blue to fit the area's bicentennial theme.

So looks like there's a new sign? And they changed the inside decorations again. Still no queue audio, though. I'd really like to see an update for this ride. A nice fresh coat of paint, a re-do of the inside effects and the waterfall would be nice!
Looks like it was just simplified & repainted...

I think what SF should have done was to paint the Skysceamer the same color as the Big Wheel and either add led light strips inside the tower or use color changing floodlights.
THAT would have been brilliant...

Also, the globe on the top is ridiculously obnoxious. Even more so than dare I say, the Jumbo Tron
Agreed - it's hideous. But at least the globe (hopefully) won't bathe the area in pseudo daylight after the sun goes down!

...just because of paint you think its tacky? thats a pretty shallow statement... besides you dont have to ride, go on something else.Seriously, I hate it when people complain about something before they've even seen it in person. How the hell do you theme a 242 ft. tower anyways.
EVERY person here is entitled to their opinion and, as such, deserves to be treated with respect. Consider this a warning to you all.
...because its NOT a theme park, its an AMUSEMENT park.Wrong: they consider themselves to be the world's largest seasonal THEME park, as it has themed areas - Plaza Del Carnaval, Frontier Adventures, Golden Kingdom, Lakefront, Movietown...
-
The original structure was so much more attractive than any incarnation since... more whimsical.

Where is King Cobra going to be located?
By the way, the King Cobra will be built near the volleyball courts/center island area.
-
...it's like the park is going back in time!!!!
Now we just need to bring back Hock N. Swippett & Sir Wilde N. Wooley!
-
The perfect spot would have been "The Woodland Gardens"..before it got destroyed...
Now that Seaport is half of what it used to be, they could put a bunch of stock gazebos (painted in bright colors) on the empty ride pads there...
-
Are there going to be any theme changes to Adventure Alley? New signs?
I'm sure we'll see this all over the area:
SkyScreamer, Deja Vu, and Air Jumbo are slated for a May 22 debut with Fender Benders following in June!

Sheikra rises like Olympus above the Serengeti (Toto reference)
"As sure as Kilimanjaro rises like Olympus above the Serengeti"
-Dainan "Anthony says he already wants to go back" RaffertyAnthony has excellent taste.

It seems that the park's facebook page has been hit with Timeline and well...I can't seem to figure out how to see people's posts...How do I do that with this timeline crap?
I like it - it's like the GA history book in timeline form.

Roller Coaster Enthusiasts
I don't know? I think it's pretty realistic.
Fyi, it is a facebook picture.
I'm tired of that whole meme; thankfully, it seems to be losing popularity.

^Pretty much the same ride. Only with remastered footage, a new music score, and a cameo from Stan Lee.
Not just remastered, but new animation altogether, new glasses & new digital projection system - it really is spectacular...
-
...but you think they would be able to at least open the Elephants on time.
Seriously - it's not like they haven't taken it apart & reassembled it before...
-
It really is stunning...
The most exciting part to me is that it finally has water below it.

As long as there aren't Ketchup themed cars, I'll be cool.
I said the same thing to GAcoaster the other day: no Red Gold wraps on rides!

Bye-bye, Heinz...

That would be amazing, but it's difficult to do that. Most of the emplyees leave when it gets to August, so having nearly 60-70,000 guests at one time controled by 2500-3000 employees is kind of hard, especially, if we opened HH as a Terror Tail.
Which is probably why he said:
...this is a far fetched idea that I know will never happen... I know the logistics of trying to operate two parks with the crowds is very tricky... It would take a whole lot of organization and funds to pull off... -
isn't that what theys said LAST year?
Yup:
There is a bigger effort being made to keep ALL the rides running opening day to closing day (including possibly Big Wheel this year). -
I'm not even *watching* Survivor this season yet I want Colton voted off the planet.
PS - saw the "Grinds My Gears" episode of Family Guy a few nights ago... this thread made it even funnier.

Now please, NO MORE discussion of "Chiller should come back" or "Chiller will come back" or even "I wish Chiller would get rebuilt so I can ride it". We don't know where Chiller is going or who owns it right now, but we know with a great deal of certainty that it will never come back to Great Adventure.Does anyone think that having a new owner will have anything to do with the future of this ride? I HIGHLY doubt it, but hopefully Weber and Anderson will realize that this ride is truly missed by the people and will combine the new technology with the old Chiller and re-open it. I also doubt it because after Anderson and Weber became the owners, they tried to sell it, but it could have been an advisory team or someone/something else telling them to do this. What do you all think? Could a new owner mean something different for the ride?
ENOUGH. Let it go.
Going forward, discussion will be limited to:
- The ride during its existence
- The spotlight
- The poll
Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
