  1. El toro stuck toward end of track. Quite a sight
  2. Does GA have overnight guards? I remember last season going to ERT on Zumajaro. Think it was about 9:30am. Upon entering golden kingdom we saw at least 10 guards dragging two teens that looked drunk out of there minds. I can only suspect they were playing around all nite.
  3. Looks like I'm the only one that wishes GA got it too. Interesting concept that sounds pretty cool. Will have to make the trip to go check it out for myself.
  4. I don't know, I guess I'm used to getting the shake down every where we go. I try to follow the cost vs experience guide to make choices. For instance we don't go to jersey boardwalks much because cost far outweighs the good experience. Disney is one of those places where I'm happy to spend a little more. We're fortunate to go fairly often and at least for us, still has the magic. Literally never been disappointed other than sometimes too crowded. So a few more bucks on admission won't make me think twice.
  5. And thank you so much for making this site mobile phone friendly for me to participate. So many sites fail miserably in that regard.
  6. Every year that I visit the park for the first time of the season I always reflect on my first time ever going. Soon as my mom took us around the corner off main st and seeing the big wheel but hearing and seeing the enterprise spinning was a memory I will never forget. Still to this day I always hope to be surprised to see the enterprise back. Will always remain on my top 10 ever list.
  7. I get both sides of the argument. Won't be disappointed if it goes either way. Perhaps one day technology will bridge this divide to make everyone happy by integrating some kind of panels into the trees. Think they started the movement with cell phone towers made to look like trees so they blend in with the environment around.
  8. Think the dining pass only activates for the day if the pass is scanned to get in the park. We tried last year to use a dining pass for a kid that wasn't there and didn't work
  9. Even though my kids all have outgrown the stroller we still bring it every time. Even when me and the wife go alone. It's the perfect locker. Drink bottles, jackets, ponchos, the backpack, and the occasional left over chicken strips. Can't beat it. What is the policy for cam glasses? Been wanting to get a pair.
  10. Was nice today. A bit chilly after sunset. Not busy at all. Got in all my favorites and then some. On the way home we reflected on the last few months. Summer fun followed by fright fest and then holiday in the park. We all thought they went by so fast. Glad they did HITP. Was nice to experience it and hope the next time is even better. No complaints. Weird that opening day isn't too far away from now. Can't wait to get back there again.
  11. How do you guys know each other? Is there ever a great adventure get together at the park?
  12. Make it a prop in great adventure history? It's got a cool story now.
  13. That's so funny. Last week my youngest was 44 1/4" tall. This week she was 43 3/4" and rejected from riding. Wtf. Then my wife remembered last week she had snow boots on. This week had converse. Oops. She was devastated. I'm with you. It's every bit of a thrill for me. Windy days get my heart pumping fast but it's the park favorite for all my kids. I only have 2 that will go on the coasters.
  14. Thrill rides weren't bad but not so much of a thrill ride crowd. Safari kids was busy around sunset, the sit down shows were packed in, and most food service had some unpleasant wait times. Compared to last week, it seemed mobbed.
  15. For us, it's was buying a couple hot chocolate mugs and then finding out they have no lids. Yup, dumped it down the front of me while walking and trying to push the stroller. Yay.
  16. Was awesome today. Exceeded my expectations. New path to showcase theater was a nice surprise and the Jack Frost show was great. Glad the wheel was turned off. Yeah that would have overshadowed the new lights around there. The boardwalk was meh but still glad it was open. Great job. Wish it was open one more hour. Seemed like 9PM came around pretty fast after the sun went down.
  17. Any interest in live cams? Ill donate all equipment (within reason) and assist the installation. Just need it to get sanctioned by the park and a separate wifi vlan on there network. Who here has access to the right people out there? For me, id love two on the superman station with general feeds on the parking lot. This makes it easy to decide whether to come out that day. Many times i assumed it would be busy then found out it wasnt. Doesnt appear to be an obvious spot for HH lot but would want one there too for the same reason. Then if we wanted to get fun with it, maybe one on main street, boardwalk, and movie town? Thoughts?
  18. Im late to this conversation but wanted to chime in too. I agree with all this. Perhaps a few well written letters to corporate office can help force many of these actions. Executives do listen to there customers. Its my opinion that the most pressing change needed for overall experience is in the under staffing issues and work protocol . So many things operate incredibly slow. Maybe its our young generations work ethic in this area of the country but supervisors ought to be doing a better job moving things along within the workforce and management ought to be much more demanding of the supervisors lists of work details. At the same time though, i guess you cant expect a high energy staff making a few bucks an hour. As far as the price points, certain non ride upgrades, or even a resort hotel to attract better demographics, a relevant example would point to Wildwood NJ. They spent a ton of money trying to improve there city and reputation on the boardwalk but im still not going back given all the other options available. Our park has a certain reputation too. I think GA would suffer the same results. Would loved to be proved wrong on all of that. All in all though, i love our park. Most of the additions we have gotten are awesome. I would guess that the costs attract enough crowds to make some money for the investors and some days the park does seem to operate somewhat smooth. Sure there are many areas for improvement but its very rare that i leave disappointed. We might be surprised to get what we want if our voices are heard. #greatadventurelivesmatter
  19. Proud to see the enterprise with the most votes. Miss that one tremendously.
  20. Im in the same boat. Would be nice for us but dont think that would make much sense for SF. Maybe they could meet us in the middle and continue to offer a few days bring a fiend free but also introduce a year long bring a friend for 19.99 or 24.99 for pass holders.
  21. I guess we are lucky. I never remember the cut off times but my kids dont let us miss out on lunch, diner and snacks. Soon as they start to get cranky its time to eat. A Minor complaint is that i usually ask for less or no fries because none of us really like them anyway. Its a lot of waste with our 5 passes but they insist on giving them to us. Kind of weird.
  22. Getting excited to see it live. Even if they have staffing pains or sub par effort on lights in some areas, this is still icing on the cake to extend a season. Hope its a great success to make the next years bigger and brighter.
  23. Not sure i would survive without the dining pass. Use to brown bag it. Just seemed like a lot more work vs $85 and be done with it. Never really had an obscene line until this past weekend. Was a weird hour. Waited>got the comfort bowl(never had it before)>was disapointed>went to nitro>Rattled more than i experianced before>thought to myself, why doesnt this thing have a backup seatbelt? Why doesnt it have a seatbelt? That lapbar is a sure bet?
  24. It is ironic that there are only the two. Lets just hope the staff has enough test kits and chemicals for the water.
