Anyone know if there was a canceled coaster at Six Flags Qiddiya currently being built overseas?

Not that I am aware of,  Falcon's Flight is currently under construction.  There is still a Mack Hyper coaster and a Mack Powersplash sitting in pieces at the now closed Bollywood Parks Dubai.  They were originally constructed for Six Flags Dubai.

Looking ahead, we are optimistic about the remainder of the season, with major investments in our Oktoberfest Food Festival, Kids Boo Fest, Fright Fest, and Holiday in the Park events; and looking further ahead to 2024, we will be investing heavily in new marketable attractions, to further elevate our position as a leader in thrills.”

  4. They went with the new D7 model, like Dr. Diabolical.

Backstory: The Mystery Behind the Menace
In the early 1900s, Scottish businessman Hiram S. McTavish opened McTavish Steel Mill, a direct competitor to Bethlehem Steel Company. Greed dictated McTavish’s every move, and he was well known to prioritize profits above people.

With an eye on maximizing output, McTavish created a massive hauler he dubbed “Iron Menace,” a device the steel industry had never seen. The rail transporter moved workers and ore at record volumes and dizzying speeds.

Suddenly the greedy steel baron mysteriously disappeared—no one knows how or where. Shortly after, McTavish Steel Mill closed. All that remains today are the mill’s decrepit shell, rusty relics and wild tales of the owner’s whereabouts.

Hiram McTavish is one of the graves in the Ghost Town section of Knott's Berry Farm.

Don't know if anyone else is having issues but I am not able to see the images.

Either way, I also don't think it's that much of a stretch. It would be a tight, tight fit. But I think it could work. Twix ride would definitely have to go, though, not that it was very popular anyways.

I can't see the images either.  If you measure the ride at SFOT in Google Earth,  it would use most of the area behind the Parachutes and Twister, go across the midway and on top of the Slingshot.

I predict that for my homepark (Six Flags America) Mind Eraser will be taken down. It's listed as SBNO for this season.

Yeah, the rumor is it won't ever reopen.  I think they should expand the waterpark into Coyote Creek.  There is already a path through the woods that could be used.

It looks like 2024 is going to be a kid's area expansion with some of the rides from Whistlestop Park relocated to the front of the park.

I am guessing the the new water coaster in Hurricane Harbor will also end up being new for 2024.

  7. It would be nice to see something replace the parachutes and possibly Twister.  Maybe they could throw in some of the electric Go Karts that Magic Mountain and Fiesta Texas are getting as part of the improvements to that area of the park.  SFOT said they are removing Harley Quinn later in the season and sending the parts here, so it sounds like Cyborg will be around for awhile.

SFOG has FINALLY started demolition of the old concrete basin for their Splashwater Falls ride (which has been gone for years), so chances are that will be the site for the new ride for 2024. I know there was speculation it could be an S&S Free Spin since it would fit easily in that spot...

The rumor is a launched RMC Raptor themed to The Flash.

How much longer until we see a new CEO try to fix things is my question?  Any chance some of the quality people who were the backbone of the park come back if new leadership does come in?

A lot of the former Six Flags Park Presidents are now running other chains or are running parks in Texas.

This will be located in the former Santas House under the Big Wheel. I think it’s a lot safer putting it there than close to the front gate where people would just walk out with merchandise.

If it works like the rest of the Amazon locations, you can't just walk in.  You will have to scan in,  then you walk out with the merch and are automatically billed.
