honestly this entire thing has been wildly disappointing. I know, I should be happy were seeing another coaster and it’s a decent one at that. But from the get go to hear how one of the biggest parks in the chain had a LAST MINUTE addition for their 50th anniversary. What were they planning outside of this?! Why is this park treated like an outcast. The 50th anniversary coaster should’ve been something massive.
It’s a coaster. I’m happy. But I’m not at the same time. IdkAn outcast? The park is getting a resort hotel, renovations on two loved attractions and millions of dollars in upgrades; on top of the new first of its kind in the country roller coaster.

The Wild Safari Drive-Thru Adventure will close this Fall and reopen in 2024 as the Safari Off-Road Adventure giving guests a guided tour offering a more personalized experience through our 350-acre safari. Guests can board safari off-road vehicles in two locations, Frontier Adventures within the theme park or at the main Wild Safari entrance

Think there's a chance it'll be Chiller themed? As shown with JDC, the park has done a solid job at working to get meaningful theming done for select attractions. The ride itself doesn't even need to bring Batman & Robin into the picture, it could just be Chiller 2 or Chiller Reimagined, something like that.
I put this on YouTube earlier today:
Would be awesome, but if it’s going to be a DC license probably Flash.

Log Flume’s original colors and the restoration of Big Wheel’s lights would be smaller, but fantastic additions for the 50th.

You always heard the complaint that the strata coasters are too short in length, and they actually fixed it. It’s not gonna have as a high of a riders per hour that Dragster had though.
The spike and backwards launch are going to be incredible!

Looks like there was plenty of variety too
Don’t get that now- as there literally is not one show in the park
(Are Looney Tunes shows even still being ran at BBNP?)

Better to think of this as a much better Caribbean Cove replacement than the “biggest addition of the last 20 years”.

Speaking of ride removals, what about the future of Twister?
If it gets removed at some point; what could be put in it's place?
The space occupied by Parachutes & Twister could be a good fit for a SkyRocket II.Between the Parachutes/Twister plot & the Right Stuff Theater/Road Race plot across the midway, they have a few possibilities to revitalize the Boardwalk area.
-
Looks like the Parachutes have been removed from the park’s website and app. If the recent chain wide ride removals are any indication, also first removed from the website, this isn’t a good sign.
If this really is the end, unfortunately it’s been a long time coming with the scarcity of parts.

Just a matter of time before it goes from “Just for Holiday in the Park” to the entire operating season.

When I rode last Saturday Skull Mountain did not have one effect, or audio cue on. At least on the surface it seems like such an easy fix.

I’m thinking an event of some kind. Power Hours? Pin Palooza?

Little changes like all of these are going to add up, and equal a bigger impact than yearly flat rides did.
Welcome back Medusa! Much better choice than a DC IP. Brings something more “unique” and familiar to longtime guests. -

It’s crazy to see Six Flags working with B&M again. No ground up coasters since X-Flight in 2012.

Rode twice today. Both times was on the Mid-Course for multiple minutes and had an evac at the end-brakes on the second. Hopefully they can get all the operations figured out.

A Special Announcement
in Site Information
Posted
Harry’s work on this site was spectacular in so many ways.
I still find myself going back to read the decade old forum threads, trip reports and spotlights over and over again. I grew up on this website, and it launched one of my favorite passions.
Had the pleasure of meeting him, and you could immediately see his absolute expertise and knowledge of the park. The amount of lives Harry and his work have touched is uncountable, and that number will only continue rise as time goes on.
Rest in Peace
