  1. That season pass funatics thing seems worthless as hell. A one time preferred parking upgrade? Honestly the preferred parking section should be turned into a season pass parking section to show some loyalty to the season pass holder and SP parking holders who most likely account for 70% of the parks revenue. I mean if this was Disney where people who around SP holders would pay top dollar for preferred parking, but judging by how empty it usually is, the parks not making good use of the section.

  3. When I was at the other day, I started getting random ideas on how to improve dead areas of the park and add new flats and attractions. 1) Morph and Revitalize Old Country and Movietown- Re-Open Old country and have it begin to blend in with movie Town as you go through it. In Spin Meister's Old Spot, add a beer stand and some tables, creating a mini beer garden, and keeping the area confines, as Six Flags tends to have all establishments that serve alcohol be confined and well defined by area. Re open autobahn and refurbish(or entirely replace, I'm not sure of the extent of damage) Musik Express. Now, in the area that used to be chiller's domain(both the ride area and surrounding area, such as the snack stand and gift shop) will be where the areas begin to "morph". In chiller's old pad, put a family type motocoaster, add fly throughs such as on bizzaro, and theme it to the movies. On the other side, add the "London Taxi Cab" huss breakdance ride from Freestlye Musik/Hard Rock Park to begin to blend the areas between Europe and Entertainment. With this area being used, the other 3 sides of the Dark Knights building cant be left blank and will need to be painted. 2)Replace the Simulator Building with flats-The simulator building is the worst eyespore in the park so I say knock it down and replace it with boardwalk themed flat rides, leaning toward the more thrilling variety. Add a chance unicaoster named "whirlpool", and 2 or 3 more spinning rides to fill up the space and revitalize the area. 3)Add 2 flats to the golden kingdom-golden kingdom is beginning to become a dead area of the park, aside from Kingda ka and Zumanjaro, so add two family flats, themed after former Balin's Jungleland rides. the first to a full size family swing ride called "Monkey Around" and then a family spinning ride called "Raja's Ricksaws"
  4. Is it still possible for it to be announced for great adventure?
  5. Love the rolling thunder train idea. Put them in showcase theatre and rename it "thrill theatre" or something. Perhaps do something like on Saturday nights show non stop looney tunes cartoons. It doesn't have to be a big production. Just something to get out of the sun for a while would be nice
  6. Great adventure is better than every other sox flags park(although magic mountain comes VERY close) and all cedar fair parks(except cedar point) and animal kingdom but not as good as Busch gardens Williamsburg, universal studios orlando parks, Disneyland, magic kingdom, epcot, hollywood studios or(for a surprise) holiday world I'll leave it simple, I did include the big name parks as better, partially because of attractions, but especially for Disney because of their reputation and identity. With six flags changing owners every few years leads to a very mismatched group if attractions called a park that lacks a specific identity. That's why I like time warner ownership bc they spent a lot of time and money trying to get the park "uniform". Don't agree with me on the mismatched principle, look at our park that has DC comics rides, mixed with 4 kids sections, theming in some areas barren areas in others, and dead/closed areas in others. That's why I includes holiday world in the better section. It's not great adventures fault, but it is what's holding them back
  7. Honestly I hate these biometric scanners and think they're pretty useless in the theme park industry as a whole. Think of all the money and time it takes to install them, money and time that could be much better spent on something else, and do they really save parks that much? Now I kno what you're gonna say and I'm not denying that there are people out there that have transferred tickets tk save money, but the more that ou think about it, isn't that a good thing for the theme park industry? I'm going to use Disney as an example because biometric scanning makes more sense for their clientele. Say I'm planning a trip to Disney world and my friend is planning a trip down there at a later day. We decide to buy an 8 day ticket, 4 days for me 4 days for him. Now before you come at me with the "Disney would get more money of you bought two separate 4 day tickets though", Disney is still getting paid for EIGHT days, were not stealing tickets someone else paid for, just trying to save money while giving Disney it's fair share as well. Plus, if we did not do this. My friend may have decided not to go at all and this Disney would have lost the profit from an 8 day ticket if I only bought a 4 day. The only time biometric scanning makes sense to me is in the case of season passes, as people obviously would take advantage of them. That's why I've always admired Six flags process of putting pictures on season passes, low cost and effective. Sure if you look alike the pass could be used by someone else, but let's be honest that is a very unlikely scenario unless your friends and family are your splitting image. Id much rather see a part of the park that's been neglected of matience(cough cough looney tunes sea sport) get some TLC than having to scan my finger every time I walk into six flags
  8. Still contemplating if I should apply at the park this summer, got a friend that just got hired on rides
  9. Speaking of Keansburg, if anyone knows the show Ricks Restoration on history, one of the owners went on the show to have a spook house car redone. They said that they plan to reopen the ride this summer
  10. It lost it's sponsor so it was concerted to seasonal use, and now used as the "festival center" for the food and wine festivals http://www.yesterland.com/erasing.html

  12. ^theyre not in Newark anymore. Back in NYC
  13. Did the park ever release a 2014 operating calendar?
  14. Quite honestly, the stunt arena needs to be removed and made way for new attractions in a re-imagined movietown/old country. The best thing for GLGS is to not use it for any day time shows, but make it a firework exclusive venue. the ski and daytime shows are pretty much a waste of money when it comes to the bottom line of the park, but fireworks always draw a crowd and it would be easy to do crowd control if people watching the show are all in one venue, or in the sorrounding area, unlike Disney parks were the entire park gets congested with people watching from everywhere. Plus, you could use the sound systems and other special effects to make it a truly special experience
  15. I've always wondered, are there any actual laws that prohibit certain rides from being open in the winter? Or does the park just make those decisions?
  16. What does the acronym(HMFIC) stand for? Honestly I thought it was a joke and stood for something not so "six flags" friendly haha
  17. If any of you guys have twitter and a sense of humor follow @epcotcentre
  18. Aside from the kk or top thrill dragster debate I would have to say six flags has better theming. While they may ignore it most of the time when they do work hard for it it ends up being really good (golden kingdom, plaza del carneval). Cf is getting better though after seeing the new inproents at knots
  19. Headliner attractions keeps the turnstiles turning though. As much as I'd love to have everything you mentioned, there's always gonna need to be that one attraction that justifies a hour plus drive for most people. For example, id you live in New york STATE and jackson is a considerae trek for you, would you be more likely to come fpr an off the shelf standard 90 ft s and s drop tower or aomething that screams "if you dont come here you cant ride this anywhere else". People get bored of stuf quickly and if the park only relied on the continuos advertisement of kingda la el toro and Nitro people would come once and them probably not come back. While I agree all these rides are popular there not popular enough to get people in the door on their own anymore.
  20. Shoulda got flats too a nice aquatwist and something else
  21. I was staying up trying to see if the news would have leaked by now but it hasn't. Good night I'm out good luck to those of y'all that brave the night haha
