I have a question,do the higher ups in the park know,except for coasters there isn't else much to do,theres not alot of shows and there is almost no flats left to go on.I really wish they would add somethings like what Cedar Point has,they have a good amount of flat rides and they are good ones too,plus GA has all this empty space plus all the huge empty spots of ugly looking pavement.

I'm not trying to complain and sound annoying but I kind of agree when someone said that GA is turning into a huge outdoor shopping mall with Coasters.

I still love the park but it just kind of annoys me I would love to see GA used at full potential by adding flats to cut down lines at other major coasters.

If anyone was planning on going to the park today,DON'T go,the park closed at 12 due to the horrible weather with all the rain and wind out there.I went into work there and drove all the way there to find out they are closing in 15 minutes.

No lights yet, there was a delay in their arrival.

 

Everything was up and running except the Skyride (still too windy--the buzzer was going off in the DS Station), Congo Rapids and the Splashwater Oasis.

 

The park was pretty crowded...a lot of New Yorkers.

Cables was open for about 30 minutes when I first got into the park to work Cables,but it then had to close for high winds,that buzzer is soooo annoying lol.And yes there were with the NYer thing lol,I heard alot of accents when I was at Batman.

Did you go on Batman at all today?If you did there is a chance you saw me working it .Today was a good day at the park from what I saw,it was clean everyone was friendly and there was alot of families,looks like it will be a good season once everyone gets in the swing of things.

Taken out all together,well in Houdinis case leave it there cause it can be used for other things.

Employees saying to you at GA "Have a great day" or "Have a Six flags day!"

Hopefully this week goes alot better for us and weather wise too so everything can open.

^Not all of us. Just a few members. Most of us had fun yesterday, and understand that yesterday was just bad circumstances for the park =)

 

Don't judge a site by a few idiots

I'm glad you had fun,did you walk past Dream Street Cables Saturday by any chance,cause I was the greeter out in front of it telling guests the ride was closed at the time.And I didn't really mean the whole site,just the few member who don't stop complaining about "poor management" I'm gonna edit that post.

It seems like either there's a serious lack of preparedness and professionalism at the park or, more likely, corporate isn't giving them enough budget to have an effective training period. I completely understand that there are hiccups, and I forgive the park for most of them, but I think there were a few too many yesterday to go completely unnoticed. On a nicer note, everything about my Safari experience was wonderful, especially seeing the lion cubs, so kudos to them on that.

 

EDIT: Did anyone notice the decals on the turnstiles? I thought those were pretty cool.

Believe me Rides do alot of training not sure about other departments.I was there for training 4 out of 5 days this school week,then the Saturday and Sunday before Monday.So Rides does plenty of training,most of us work really hard and stay after what were supposed to work and clean and do things for the next day of operations,so I don't know what else you want,we try our best to make a guests day and be as nice as possible to every single guest we meet.So I don't know what else you want from us,I understand the rides down are annoying but nothing anyone can do about it,so I apologize for a bad day at the park,and visit in May or June if you can and we will be in full swing of things and used to our jobs.

Some people at GAOnline are getting annoying with there complaining about opening day,were sorry that they had a bad day and rides were closed,but they had to be closed for everyones safety and they worked real hard to try to have things open so there was more to do,but the wind didn't let up.Sorry if the post sounded bad,GAOnline is a GREAT site but sometimes people there just get alittle annoying here and there.

Dude it didn't suck,yes some complained that the rides they wanted to ride wern't open but today will be a much better day without those crazy winds that got up to 50 MPH yesterday,not alot can operate in that.They tried really hard to open what they could and that's why they opened log flume even though it was freezing lol.Also yestersay I saw alot of employees putting a smile on a guests face and that's all that matters this year.

Today didn't go so well to say the least,I heard alot of guests complaining while telling them my ride as well as other rides they wanted to go on were closed,the wind killed today,tomorow should be alot better for all the rides.

These workers have been working long hours to get everything ready for opening day,when I'm leaving they are still working on these new places and it makes me happy to see there trying to get everything ready for Opening day!

Yeah,I wasn't sure if they were up yet since I have been at the park the last few days at night and haven't seen it lit up at all.Thanks

Do you know if the lights are on the Big Wheel already or not?

Oh believe me neither I rather it be themed to the appropriate section but it's not going to happen,so I'm alright with it I guess.

^Believe me they could,they can have us spoil Luthors plot to brainwash and he gets mad,then he comes back with another plan to create Bizzaro,something powerfull enough to defeat Superman (the trains,hence the fire and fog for battle effects kind of.)Then the audio could be Luthor angry about losing with the brainwashing plan and then it goes to the making of Bizzaro and then it could be some other sounds or something not sure about that.

Just passes me too,it started off as distand rumblings and flashes then boom and bolts of lightning and then all the sudden hail/pouring rain comes down the hardest I have ever seen in my life,it was cool kind of scary though cause it was so loud hitting windows and stuff.I even watched TV during it unlike last year when my TV would of been out cause of DirecTV,thank god for Fios!

Yeah it just started working like a half hour ago for me,thanks I didnt know if I was the only one.

Can anyone else not get on GAOnline or is it just me?

And I had No Limits,I had it like a year ago and tried it alot but I couldn't get it and paid 30$$ for nothing cause I couldn't figure it out for anything,but if you do figure it out you can make some amazing coasters!But my computer got a virus from limewire brought the computer to best buy and then Geek Squad deleted everything off the hard drvie so I lost it and wasn't going to pay 30$ again.

Rides training in the called for in the forcast Thunder Storms and Rain tomorow .Hopefully I'm at a coaster where it's in a station.I don't know what they do in Rides Training for a new hire I'm nervous lol

I voted Medusa,or M2 whatever they will call it.I voted that because it's a good ride and will only get better with the improvements like the trains going backwards and the tunnel going over the lift hill! .But I am most looking forward to working lol

I have a feeling that this will be a really good year for Great Adventure and Six Flags as a whole,with Over Texas already getting record attendance just in the spring,it will most than likely be an amazing year for every park.I don't know if they will end up having to file for Chapter 11 but if they do then

In your tours did you ask if they will be adding flats in the future like a Giant Swing ride like MaxAir or a Screamin Swing or some other flats some where down the line?Or you lucky fellas can't say anything?
