  1. So the word going around is that Jaws and Amity will be replaced with the Wizarding World Of Harry Potter Phase 2.I've heard a few different things, one being it will connect both parks by the Hogwarts Express and Amity being the London/Diagon Alley part of the HUGE area and that they will still take over Lost Continent and expand there as well and possibly make Sinbad a Gringotts attraction. But I have heard that they may charge you for a Multipark ticket to get into both which I hope is not the case. But whatever does happen, this project will be massive.
  2. You are fogetting about Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit
  3. Transformers is my only guess to what would be going in that area,Amity is a pretty big part of the back of the park so Transformers ride building in the Jaws ride footprint then a total re-theme of Amity I guess is what will happen. They will need to find a new place to put the 8th house for HHN now with the Jaws extended que now being demolished. Universal/Islands will never take over for most visited park in Orlando but they definitely do have the momentum going for them.
  4. And to add to my last comment, the Jaws ride at Universal Orlando will be closing for ever on January 2nd 2012
  5. The expansion in Orlando won't be to far behind it to knock off any hype of Avatar land at Disney.I'm hearing that the new major attraction added to the WWOHP Phase 2 expansion will be even better than Forbidden Journey. Universal will be upgraded soon as well, the major boost in revenue from Harry Potter will definitely be reinvested into the property. But this isn't surprising that this is happening, they are looking to make a dollar anyway possible and this will put Uni Hollywood ahead of any California park with that and Transformers.
  6. I miss IOA so much </3.Wizarding World of Harry Potter is by far my favorite part of any park I have ever been too.The frozen Butterbeer is absolutely amazing.
  7. Universal is in a whole different league than everyone else and isn't fair to compare really.Universal has it's own team called A&D (Art & Design) plan out all the Holiday events.Grinchmas,Thanksgiving,Macy's and by far their biggest event which is planned years in advance each year has a HUGE budget that Six flags will never see honestly.HHNs budget is probably what all of next year's additions cost combined. But DMP is basically Six Flags staple of a show like HHN does with Bill & Ted's,both have a big following and can't wait to see it every year.I don't really get it though,DMP is the same every year.Change isn't always bad,but as the years go on I can see FF improving as they get more budget and really study other park's Haunt events. But until then I will never spend $7 for those "trails"
  8. I went opening weekend and it was actually pretty busy for it raining/looking like it was going to rain both nights.Set wise the Thing did not let down, just scare factor wasn't there at all and something else with an original concept could have been put there instead like a Lady Luck type of house
  9. HHN was phenomenal this year with the exception of The Thing which was by far one of the weakest houses scare wise I have ever been in.Set wise it stood up to the best like Nightingales and Winters Night but honestly Universal just needs to stop The Thing as houses,it wasn't good in 2007 it wasn't good in 2011...
  10. Except for the wild mouse, every coaster yesterday was running one train and it was pretty busy.
  11. Sorry bro, that ride just overall is awful to work.Does Western still play that annoying music in the station?
  12. I was at HHN this weekend,a lot of bars were taken away and only a few bars were scattered through the park.I did not encounter one real drunk person and smoking wasn't bad at all.Even if people are drunk who cares just ignore them like I did past years. It is seriously the best Halloween event in the world by far and always will be,the houses just leave you speechless afterwards with the detail and everything that goes into them.
  13. I did not mean to have it sound nastyy, that's why I edited it because I know it did come across that way.My apologies
  14. They have to find some way to squeeze every penny they can out of guests
  15. So I'm guessing since it's Mortuary MANOR,this maze will be inside somewhere,or is that far fetched since it's Fright Fest?
  16. Dude you can say how they can improve it as much as you want, but it is never coming back.Sorry kiddo
  17. Being a former employee,I can tell you all from experience that a majority of those who work at the park do not care about what guests do at the park. When I was a Lead I took my job seriously along with my friends/co-workers in Management and we did what we could but still it comes down to Security being called and dealing with it,Ride Ops has little power to do anything about cutting or any park rules that are being violated. You can't really blame the Team Members though, they are getting paid minimum wage and a lot of minors (16,17 year olds and the first job for a lot)do you really think they want to risk end up having to defend themselves against a 30 year old gang member from NY/Philly that is threatening them or such? No.I was the same way when I started,16 going on 17 and the cons of enforcing something was not worth the pro's in those situations.Plus the paperwork that has to go along with it was a pain in the ass. Last year at Nitro after I moved there from the Cables we dealt with A LOT of problems that you guys have all talked about. We did what we could, for example we would get done checking the train and wait for the train we sent out to clear the lift to dispatch,so we would monitor the line for any kind of line cutting. It worked and had plenty kicked out of the park.Other times people would get away with it and not because of us,but because Security would never show up to even do anything about it so basically what I'm saying is the people who are supposed to do the enforcing of the rules, don't do anything but hide when they can in A/C.I'm by no means saying that all of them are bad, because they're not,but some should not have jobs doing what they are doing and making the most starting pay then anybody in the park.Having them sit in line in those lifeguard chairs would definitely help and scare some cutters off,but to actually think the park would pay them to do that, not going to happen. They barely even let the ride operators sit down. Oh and believe me,there is probably still plenty of tickets to be used on busy days.In the end, will Line Cutting ever go away? No.Can they help cut it down?Easily so.Will they do anything about it?Not anymore so than they're doing now. Edit:If anyone ever has questions about working at the park,PM me and I would be more than happy to answer questions about what it's like or anything.
  18. Halloween Horror Nights beats everything by FAR (in my opinion)...
  19. Busch parks are now owned by the co-owners of Universal,Blackstone Group.
  20. Great Adventure is dead.Gotta love the Six Flags corporate
  21. No wonder why Six Flags has become the joke of the industry.
  22. Possibly the worst post I have ever read on this site.Just so you know, the reason Hard Rock and Freestyle Music Park failed was because of the awful location, not because of the park's management. This isn't the end of the world, calm down.
  23. He's the same guy from the park's facebook page I'm assuming. He has it in his head that the park is adding nothing but "water park rides" even though the last water ride added was Movie Town Water Effect,in 1987...
