  1. This would be a great ride to bring back. One of my all-time favorites. Anybody ever steal any light bulbs?
  2. Glad to see some flats are coming back. More to a park than just roller coasters. May you people enjoy those new additions next season and beyond.
  3. No ribs? No tee pee? Not good. Bring it all back! Best of the West is the only part of the park that basically remains the same.
  4. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't they originally have plans to built a monorail when the park first opened?
  5. Looks more like a quadruple version of the Flying Wave with that height. Curious how they'll have that operate since it's near the Skyride arch, etc. At least GA is taking a step in the right direction bringing back some flats.
  6. How about The Godfather? Just kidding!
  7. Now, this is a terrific question. First ride I ever went on in 1974 was the Skyride, but I'm going with the Log Flume. Also, can we please stop calling the Super Roundup the Tornado.
  8. Having flashbacks of coming in through the original entrance and seeing those colorful tents just a few feet away. Love the fact they are still there and still a vital part of the park's history.
  9. When was the last time the park was shut down entirely because of inclement weather?
  10. Don't miss the long, cold winters in the Northeast. Haven't worn a winter jacket since 1983/84. Out here in California, one can go to amusement parks in December and January. And the beach!
  11. Bring the original park back, along with the complete fabric of it being family oriented with something for everyone. People want variety and GA (and other parks) seem to have lost that trade. That's why I compare Knott's Berry Farm to the original GA. In terms of rides, bring back Freefall, Enterprise, Swabichian and Flying Wave.
  12. I remember when parking was FREE. In those days, they could care less.
  13. This is where I perfected my Skee Ball game. Not that I was a pro at it or anything. This was a place you'd go to for 30 minutes or so and play some skee ball and get out of the heat or rain. Very nice spotlight!!!!
  14. just looking at the 2011 park map. Is it me or did the park get a bit smaller? For example, what happened to all of that area where Freefall and the Little Wheel once stood? According to the map, there's nothing there anymore.
  15. great question. do remember the chicken, but that rabbit escapes me. I'll just say true.
  16. How does it manage to get flooded like that? What happened to all of the drains they used to have on Dream Street?
  17. Wanted to wish all of you a safe and happy Fourth of July. I'm sure some of you will be at GA today celebrating. I only went to GA on the Fourth once way back in the day and remember it being packed to the rafters. What's it like going there on the fourth now?
  18. I was in NYC this week on vacation and was flying back here to Los Angeles today on Jetblue. They have TV monitors at every seat and they had a reporter from one of the TV stations in NYC down there in Jackson. As soon as I saw that, I figured one of the baboons escaped and I knew it just had to be GA.
  19. Now, this IS what greatness is all about! Been waiting for this one for a very long time. The granddaddy of flumes in this country. Love those nighttime shots down on the station. Unless I just plain missed it, do you have any photos of being on the final hill and getting a shot from up there of the Big Wheel?
  20. Just looking at that part of the map and seeing those great rides that once stood there. Bring those rides back!!!!!
  21. If this ride were around when the park first opened, where would it be? Also, is this sort of like Space Mountain?
  22. What rides/attractions were at this spot when the park originally opened?
