  1. I couldn't find a thread for it, so I thought I would ask here. Can I have my username changed to reflect my username on other sites which is "DiveMachine"?
  2. No question that's photoshopped. I'm just worried that their going to hurt another park classic.
  3. I've always thought that would be a great idea too. Maybe they could use it to anchor a revamp of the area while adding some smaller flats around it, similar to SkyScreamer.
  4. They need to focus on fixing King Cobra's problems first and foremost. While it's always nice to add new slides, the slide that was expected to be a cornerstone of the waterpark is flopping badly, and it's going to need some capital put into it to fix those problems. Whether it's the apparent slow ride or the weight issues, it needs to be addressed. Whether the park believes it's worth the investment or not is something we'll probably find out this off-season.
  5. ^They actually do light up: (sorry for the bad quality, but you get the picture)
  6. Whats going on with the metal thing on it's head and the tape?
  7. ^Because those companies aren't going to complain when Disney wants to change everything. IIRC, Disney had plans for a Beemer awhile back but they got cancelled, because Disney was way too controlling over the project.
  8. Why do the Bumper Cars have a 54" height limit?!?!
  9. I think its funny that they have so many similarities to our park, and now they have chiller too
  10. Honestly, this is one of the best additions they could have made at this point. Its thrilling, it fills in a former ride pad, and it compliments the coaster collection well. The reason that the ride looks like this is because this is, first and foremost, a business. Things take time, they need to be budgeted and it takes employees, effort and money as well. The ride is absolutely fine as it is. A big problem for these things is that the park's coaster collection is the opposite of cheap and tacky and when there is 456 ft. tower that can't keep reliable, cuts need to be made somewhere. Corporate probably realizes that most of the GP don't come for theming, they come for the rides. Many park patrons aren't going to care that its generically-themed, and cutting theming saves costs in purchases for the ride, the initial building of the ride and the maintaining the theming in the future.
  11. Definitely the 00s. To me, it was a complete renaissance and truly where gadv became the national player it is today. First the Harbor, then Nitro debuted(easily one of the most important additions in park history, if not the most important, IMO). In 2003, Superman debuted bringing a greater variety to the park's collection, and in '05 and '06, 2 of the greatest coasters in the world debuted in Ka and Toro, along with some excellent theming. Later on, the park spent the latter half of the decade adding a good family coaster and improving the park all over. While many flats may have been removed by 2 managements, the positives greatly outweigh the negatives. To me, it was a pretty well rounded decade for the park.
  12. There have been quite a few surprising facts lately, but I'm gonna have to go with false
  13. I'd love to see the return of the yum yum palace name. Maybe they could even make it into a full service restaurant, something the park lacks and would be amazing to see.
  14. So, you haven't even given a SF park a chance? SF parks have actually improved exponentially in the past few years and are now pretty well run parks.
