  1. -Eric "Six Flags never ceases to surprise me" Tragesser
  2. I didn't mean to sound rude or anything, I just like to see Gadv look the best it can be(I've brought a lot of fanboys from other parks and their response is usually "This park is so ghetto" "That thing over there is trash" "my home park is a hell of a lot better than this"), and I think its awesome that Weber & Co. are bringing back a flat like this!
  3. Awesome spotlight! Quick question, is the sign going to have the screws in the letters like it showed on the winter tour, or is the park working to fix that?
  4. I think we'll see "Tony Hawk's tubular 10 dollar meal deal"
  5. I have ALOT of mixed feelings about this. How would a merged company carry itself? Would it be like Cedar Fair with NO themed attractons being added outside of CP? Or would it be like SF and be unrounded parks with decent themeing here and there? Would we be seeing CF policies like their AWFUL rain policy? Would we be seeing CP get the best of everything, like with CF? Or would we be seeing more "favorites". Now with that being said, the amount of money that could be brought in would be ENORMOUS. Just think of this as top parks of any chain: -CP -KBF -Gadv -Gam -MM -OT -OG -KD -KI -DK Just think of the attractions we could get with this kind of money being poured into the chain! Although with a chain like that, would they let anyother park spoil CP's annual glory of "best park"?
  6. I knew that, but the fact is that Texas Giant isn't really a "wooden" coaster anymore. Six Flags can spin however they want to, but the fact is if you look at the track, its not the same type of track as any woodie. Its a hybrid.
  7. If we really are getting animal shows with Safari Kids, I think we can count this as granted
  8. You can forget about that. The view of it I got from the balloon tower next to it shows that track is missing, and there is ALOT of neglect showing
  9. I really like what I'm seeing too. It seems this new management knows the idea of taking care of what they already have
  10. SFMM has a very well run parking tram service for ALL areas of the parking lot, and trust me, their's is ALOT bigger than ours and CAN fill up on some days. With a sister park doing it, I can't see why gadv can't do it too.
  11. Well, it seems that we could get our scrambler back. SFOG has confirmed that S,R&R(gadv's old scrambler) will be removed for DDD
  12. Universal and disney have both been said to have been looking into Gadv a few years ago, to combine Gadv's rides with their themeing and making Gadv into a superpark.
  13. The problem with taking out the tigers and putting in a flat is that the modern flat ride can cost just about as much as a roller coaster to maintain and upkeep, so they would still be investing ALOT of money. Thats one of the reasons Shapiro didn't put in flats is that they aren't as marketable as coasters and can cost the same or sometimes even more to keep running
  14. If thats true, and what I heard on this site about Mark Kane being a strong beleiver in the potential of gadv, the future could get VERY interesting
  15. Ive always thought that a water fountain show like WoC would suit the park well. for starters, watershows can't get cancelled due to wind, which has cancelled most of SNL's shows. Also, have you seen what you can do with waterjets these days? Its incredible. WoC should have SF planning their own show. WoC is a crowd pleaser. If its a good show, no doubt it will put gadv over the top as a nighttime destination. Who hear wouldn't want to see Batman, Joker, Riddler, Bugs, Daffy, Porky, Flash, Green lantern, or any other character SFI has rights to projected on a fountain? IMO, its the perfect move for Gadv
  16. nope, I went on it in April, and you were free to choose
  17. I want everything we have heard. The flats, 5d, Chang and what you guys have seem to forgotten, the Congo Upgrades which are much needed. Chang would,IMO, hurt and help our collection. It helps because it's a great ride and something unique in the notheast, aka it's icing on an already big cake. But one thing that most parks have and is essential to this "cake" is a sitdown looper with a floor. Guess what we lose with chang? Our sitdown looper with a floor. Maybe putting Chang in the side of the park with the worlds tallest and current fastest, along with the worlds best wooden coaster and one of the best floorless coasters and a flying coaster isn't a good idea. Maybe putting it in the side with 6 coasters, including 4 kiddie/family coaster is a better idea.
  18. That's alot to ask for including chang, from a company that just got out of bancruptcy court Flats we should get: our scrambler back from SFOG 5d reopenning of all SBNO flats 2 family flats major flat
  19. I think Chang will become part of Boardwalk and possibly a GK expansion where the rest of GASM footprint was
  20. Why don't they just do it at king pin?
  21. What would I do? Lets see... Batman stunt show retheme Twister to something with a beach name Rehab and timberliners on RT reopen Tango Since it looks like the simulator theater is getting the hook, put the seats into a looney tune themed theater in LTSP retheme Congo Rapids to Looney Tunes, along with rehab effects, and covering up backstage areas new vekoma trains on GASM DROP TOWER: GYRO DROP-Evolution's old spot about $10-15 million on flats retheme and sprucing up areas of park-Movietown, Lakefront, Fantasy Forest specifically Open Old Country with bavarian village with games, shops, etc. Tear down Showcase theater and build an open air theater like this use remaining money on chipping in for a hotel. Partner up with major hotel company, allow them to build on Gadv propety as long as Gadv gets some of the profits, and Gadv will chip in a little to build it.
