warnerleroy
Let's just pretend for a second, that Walt Disney World was built where Great Adventure is today, and Great Adventure was built where Disney World is today. Would you like or dislike it?
MarioSonic94
I'd dislike it. Don't get me wrong, I love Disney World, but I wouldn't want to go to Orlando just to ride Ka and El Toro.
warnerleroy
Yeah, but what I mean is, we all love Great Adventure because we're are so close to it. Do you think your feelings would change for Six Flags if it was in Orlando, but Disney World was the one close to home(and by having WDW in NJ, that's including Sea World and Universal)
The Master
I would rather go to WDW, Sea World, and Universal rather than travel down to Fl just for GAdv. I like GAdv but if it wasn't so close I probably won't go there too often, even if GAdv was vise versa with Hershey Park I rather go to HP. GAdv has the one of the best coaster lineups and a few unusual rides but it's lacking in other areas compared to other parks. GAcoaster
I don't think it's possible to compare. Had Great Adventure been built in Orlando, it probably would have become all that Warner LeRoy had envisioned simply because when you run a year round park, you can afford to build more things and see a return on investment sooner on them. A seasonal park has a HUGE disadvantage with not bring in money for almost 6 months out of every year. If Disney built here in NJ, they probably would never have been able to build more than a single park because of the seasonal nature of the business here. Yes, Tokyo has a similar climate and does well, but it's a different culture, and Tokyo Disneyland was built differently than its US counterparts. The Master
^Yep only nutcases would want to ride in the cold here in the states lol. Also it is unfair to compare a Six Flags park to a Disney park.
Great Adventurer
Dislike it. Great Adventure is my home.
