Day 21- Add New Attractions & Events To Hurricane Harbor

Recommended Posts

Our wish for day 21:

Add a new slide or two, or other new attractions, and host some Season Pass holder events after regular park hours. The park is fully equipped with lighting for night events, why not host a night time beach party? Or even upcharge events? SeaWorld hosts upcharge luau events after the park is closed for the regular day. It would be fun on a hot summer night to have a passholder event or two where there are tiki torches and things.

GAdv's HH is about the only HH park that does not have a Tornado slide. SFMM's HH, SFStL's HH, SFOT's HH, SFA's HH, most of them have Tornados but us. It's SFGAdv's HH turn to get one and maybe add a bowl slide in as well. Plus another set of restrooms near the wave pool. Also last year on SFGAdv's HH website they had a picture of a Tornado slide, what a tease LOL.

Hurricane Harbor should add one of these! It's a lazy river with waves found at Atlantis in the Bahamas. I wonder how you prevent yourself from getting cut up against the rocky walls.

The Current: A mile-long river expedition with four-foot waves pushing inner tube riders through a densely landscaped, tropical jungle of rapids, underground tunnels, tidal waves and Tower slides. The complex ‘transportainment’ system allows riders to float along the river or join in a queue for water slides without leaving their inner tubes.

Schlitterbahn at South Padre Island, Texas also has that set up were you wait in line in the river for the slides, I think they are the first ones to have it. It would be hard to retrofit something like that into a already existing water park. Still is cool. Also they probably use jets to keep the tubes in the middle of the river and away from the rocky walls were people could get hurt.
