Day 5- The Return of Themed Uniforms

Our wish for day 5-

Having employees in themed uniforms rather than generic polo shirts makes a huge difference! Especially the Safari attendants who should look like wardens rather than Dippin Dots sellers...

The uniforms during the Time Warner years were very impressive. For example, Frontier Adventures had employees dressed in blue jeans, red and white checkered shirts, cowboy hats, and bandannas. The Boardwalk had cast members in blue pants, red and white striped shirts, and boater straw hats made to look like the game and sideshow barkers at the turn of the century. One of the best uniforms was the "tuxedos" worn by the cast at Batman: The Ride!

 

These looked so much better than the neon polo shirts of today which promote proper trash habits.

Heres how it should go-

 

Main street-Main st can keep it's neon yellow shirts since it's the entrance plaza, I don't thin kit really has a theme anymore but since it's the entrance way, i'm kinda okay with that

 

Fantasy Forest-Fantasy Forest can keep the neon yellow shirts also

 

Boardwalk-Red and yellow stripped shirts, baige pants, straw hats

 

GOlden Kingdom-Safari outfits

 

Plaza del Carnivale-red shirts with green vests, baige pants

 

Frontier Adventure-red checkered shirt, jeans

 

Lakefront-they can keep the yellow shirts also

 

Kids areas(with the exception of Golden Kingdom)-Looney tUnes dress shirt, baige pants

 

Movietown-White dress shirt, red or black vest, black pants, red baret or black fedora

 

Old Country-white dress shirt, green vest, black pants

I'm really liking this year's last so far - let's hope the park is watching!

When did the colonial uniforms on Main Street go away? I remember them lasting longer than any other themes uniforms at the park, and they really added to the feel of the area.

I would like to see the themed uniforms back to the park. That may add to the park's much needed theme elements that the park doesn't have at all anymore.

I don't care what the park employees wear, they could be wearing their underwear on their head for all I care. As long as they dont push the restraints on Nitro down to far, and they let me reride, I dont care.

Whoever came up with the idea for neon polo shirts should be shot. They're rediculous. Where in the old west did people wear neon shirts? Or in Clonial America? Or ANYWHERE for that matter. They are just plain ugly and another stupid mistake that ruins the park atmosphere.

 

They really need to replace the morons that make all these stupid decisions.

Are you sure? I know the CEO keeps changing, but I believe a lot of the designers and managers have stuck around, and it appears that they just keep making the same silly mistakes.

^That's not entirely true, there were massive layoffs and cuts in staffing all across the chain in September. They haven't been replaced but many aren't around anymore.

^So if they haven't been replaced, there's no new people making new decisions and taking the parks in a new direction.

All the people on that list except for John Odum and Tom Iven are new.

Many of the tasks and responsibilities of the people who were cut were consolidated into existing positions which have been filled with new people, so yes, new people are calling the shots at the top, while most of the park level people have stayed the same with some MAJOR exceptions (Mark Kane being that exception)
