29yrswithaGApass
Can anyone confirm that the Scrambler ride (Centrifuge G-Force) that was once at Great Adventure is the same model that was installed at Six Flags Over Georiga as Shake, Rattle, and Roll? This is a longshot, but does anyone happen to have a photo of the ride's boiler plate i.d. at GA? The ride at SFOG is serial number 395-23. GAcoaster
I've heard it's our old Scrambler, but I don't know who might be able to confirm.
The Master
How long has SFOG had theirs? GAdv shoud get a new one and put it where the Enterprise was. Edited January 15, 2008 by The Master
29yrswithaGApass
The ride was removed from Great Adventure after the 2001 season. Management had intended to reinstall the ride in the park twice for 2002 in two different locations but it never happend. I believe Shake, Rattle, & Roll opened at SFOG in 2004. The Master
Yep, I know they removed it to make room for Superman's entrance. Shame since they had it themed pretty well as a NASA centrifuge and even had a Mercury capsule replica out front. BuddyChrist
The timeframe makes it seem possible and since I don't see it in any of the boneyard photos, it very well could be our old scrambler.
29yrswithaGApass
I think it is too. When I was at the park in September I tried to find something that would identify it as GA's - like the shadow of old NASA decals or logos. There wasn't anything on the cars so they either did a really nice job cleaning them up or it's not ours.
The Master
Seems like it could be GAdv's old scrambler. Can't believe it's been gone from GAdv for 7 years already! I remember the old exit gates for it used PVC pipe as gate posts. For years SF used to ship rides out of SFGAdv to other SF parks and now GAdv is getting low on rides. BuddyChrist
Yeah, Great Adventure used to have the world record for rides. It was at 72 at one point I think, don't quote me on that though, I never counted! I was having too much fun back then to count!
