What has been re opened in old country? I looked at the map. I didn't see any new rides?
Chiller
^^ When did Blackbeard become a kiddie ride? The Old Country is not really open, its just a shortcut to the Showcase or picnic area.
joeyc98
I'm interested to see if any new themeing is added to Harley Quinn as Blackbeard's had very minimal theming, albeit very nice landscaping.

SFGadv123
It's always been a coaster. What else would it be?
RunawayArrow
Black Beard is by no means a coaster strictly for kids I rode the same coaster a SF discovery kingdom and it was full of adults. But I am glad to see its getting a update to match joker. I hope to see some theming like a Harley Quinn figure
29yrswithaGApass
This would make more than half of our coasters (7 of 13) named after DC Comics related characters.
gencx
I wonder if it's going to have themeing. SFNE has the Catwoman statue in front of their version of this model coaster; I wonder if we'll get a Harley Quinn statue.
Nitro1118
I'm fine with the change solely for the fact that the ride will be getting TLC and now essentially the entire Lakefront will be reimagined. Obviously, another DC themed ride is overkill, especially with how scattered they are, but I'll take fresh generic over rotting original anyday. Fgcassady
It's always been a coaster. What else would it be? A Six Flags false flag, like el Diablo
jdc12192
BBLTT is a coaster and is not debatable like El Diablo.
Coasterharrison'98
I having De ja Vu' over this topic! SFOG had Joker and Harley Quinn themed rides installed last year!
Pineracer
I would have preferred to seen it themed to Poison Ivy but then again, that would cost more money than Six Flags has and will receive; If the park gets the VR, I predict Bizarro because the other super hero themed rides have clones or similar name in other parks getting the VR now and none of the woodies, mine trains, etc. aren't getting VR. Jmann37
Since they opened that path up once again to the old, Old Country area (now its a part of Movietown) we know there will most likely be something going in that area in 2017! Fgcassady
BBLTT is a coaster and is not debatable like El Diablo. That's like saying Kingda Ka is a kiddy ride.
jdc12192
That's like saying Kingda Ka is a kiddy ride. A coaster doesn't have to be 100+ feet to be a coaster. It goes up a lift and is controlled by gravity...its a coaster. A family coaster if you want to get technical. If it was powered by tires or something else I would understand the debate- like El Diablo, but BBLT is a coaster, just not a big one.
gencx
Of course Blackbeard Quinn is a coaster. What else would you possibly consider it to be?

Then the bugs bunny ride is a rollercoaster, if you say so. And El Diablo is lifted by power and and is partially controlled by gravity, yet everyone calls it a carnival ride. gencx
a family ride Those aren't mutually exclusive, though. Of course it's a family ride, it has a small height requirement. But it's a roller coaster. Read the spotlight on it if you're still confused. Edit: http://rcdb.com/567.htm Blackbeard on RCDB. If it's there, it's a coaster.
