GA will have fireworks as part of their July 4th celebration!

For those concerned that Great Adventure would not have fireworks this year without the Great Lake Grandstand:

I know all 3 days are going to be super crowded but if im just going for the fireworks do you guys think Sunday will be the least crowded of the 3 days?

Sunday will probably be the least crowded but won't be 'empty' or moderate by any means but you are probably right with going Sunday. People probably take off Friday and will go then or Saturday.

 

Either Friday or Sunday I would suggest. Stay away the 4th lol.

^I went to Hurricane Harbor on the 4th last year, and there were barely any lines for slides. The dry park was crowded though as seen from the water park.

I went on the 4th last year and it seemed crowded, but the lines weren't bad at all. I remember the longest wait was maybe 20 minutes. The 4th is usually a surprisingly good day to go actually. It seems like the least crowded day of the summer compared to other days I go in the summer.

I think Tango should have ERT all three days. It is the best ride in the park.

I genuinely thought I was the only one here who thought that way about the Tango. Really is the unknown gem in the park.

I wonder if the fences will come down along the lake front for fireworks. That's still going to be the best place to view them.

Just saw this on the event page. Does this mean it's going to be fenced or roped off and only those with wristbands will be allowed in??

I vaguely remember something similar from last year's fireworks. It might just be a small section up front that Coke sponsors to be "VIP", even though they're free to anyone.

Oh ok. Didn't realize it was for a VIP area. To me it sounded like to get into the area you would need a wristband and thought it sounded like a terrible idea lol.

Are the fireworks going to be synced to music as they were in the past?

I was more focused on taking photos, but I think they were about the same quality and length as last year.

Music is just basically tracks synced to the fireworks. Same as it always was.

I hope they opened the Pre-Show Annoncement's Music as they always have, with "Come Sail Away" from Styx. Wouldn't be the same without hearing it.

Very satisfied that it worked out today. Not too busy, great temperature, and kids had a great time. They launched the fireworks a half hour early and ended minutes before the rain started to get heavy. Could almost call it a perfect day.
