29yrswithaGApass
For 2008, the Castle Arcade is being converted to an indoor black light minature golf course. Do you think this is a good idea and if so do you plan on playing? Here are some photos from a black light mini golf in Canada called U-Puttz Black Light Mini Golf (<-- great name )
CycloneMan
I think I will definately check that out actually
JetsDevs4Lyf
I think it looks like it will be a lot of fun and an interesting experience. Plus as long as it's air conditioned it can serve as a nice little break during the day from the sun and heat.
The Master
Looks neat, but I am not sure if I would take time away from rides to play.
strwrse1
I did one in Virginia Beach 2 years ago & it was really fun. Wasn't very challenging, though.
JetsDevs4Lyf
^ I like challenging mini golf courses, but at the same time because this will be such a unique ( for me at least ) playing experience it will make up for it. And who knows we might get a nice challening course depending on who is designing it for the park.
JetsDevs4Lyf
We just had a new indoor blacklight golf course recently put in around my hosue so I think I'm gonna have to check it out now before the park opens theirs up. Anyone know when this is supposed to be ready to partake in?
GAcoaster
I'd guess it's opening around Memorial Day. They were working on it last week while the park was open.
JetsDevs4Lyf
^ Cool Cool that would give a very neon feel to that weekend with I believe the parade debuting as well. I hope this is s success for the park as it seems these types of courses are becoming more and more popular all over the place.
GAcoaster
Hmmm...maybe they'll call it "Glow in the Park Golf"?

29yrswithaGApass
Update: The new Wizards and Dragons Black Light Mini Golf Adventure opened this weekend and costs $7 to play. The old Castle Arcade sign has been removed from the building.
JetsDevs4Lyf
The price really isn't too bad I was expecting a little bit more, but it's actually less than the one place by me to play a round so it sounds good. I'm sure we will take it in within our next couple of visits to see how it goes.

Hedgegoat
Oh this looks like a blast! I love black lights and I love miniature golf so this is a win-win situation for me. Ben
29yrswithaGApass
The new Wizards and Dragons Black Light Mini Golf Adventure received a nice new sign. The park also offers a childrens rate now - $5 for kids 54" and under (adults $7). Here are some pictures from inside the castle.
JetsDevs4Lyf
Looks like they did quite the job inside. I think this is going to fit in extremely well during Fright Fest times, and with a location next to the Wheel they could reaally make some money by dropping the prices a bit for those special events when there will be tons of people in the park. Volume would probably even things out.
29yrswithaGApass
We had a chance to play miniature golf on Saturday and it was fun. They lowered the price - it is now $5 for adults and $3 for children which is pretty reasonable. They also added several three dimensional figures to the mix. It will be a great place to take an airconditioned rest this summer. It's my goal to score "9" by the end of the season (yeah, right !!!) JetsDevs4Lyf
This is the one thing that I forgot to even think of during the inclement weather midday Saturday. Would have been a good way to stay out of the rain, and for the 5 per person I wuld say it is quite reasonable. No worse than buying many food items at the park. I rarely bring cash to the park, but for the next visit wanna play some mini glaf midday so I wanna have the right amount for sure on me. 29yrswithaGApass
Just an observation... I think the golf game just outside of the Black Light Mini Golf hurts the miniature golf's business. Even though they have tons of signs advertising "Indoor Mini Golf" I think that casual passerby assumes that the outdoor game of skill and the indoor mini golf are the same thing.
