Yoshi
It's cool to look at the model of a ride and see how similar it is to the actual ride. The details are amazing.
GAcoaster
While computer renderings of rides are a great way to visualize, there's nothing like a physical model of an attraction!
29yrswithaGApass
I always wanted to make a park-wide model of GA out of LEGO when I was a kid. I didn’t have nearly enough bricks to make one or two things at a time. Plus bricks only came in red, yellow, blue, white, black, and clear in those days. Medusa42
That is really nice and the level of detail reminds me of a model train layout.
Pineracer
Was that a queue or normal path under Lightning Loops? That obviously doesn't exist as that's roughly where Nitro's entrance is today
29yrswithaGApass
It was a path that never was built.
GAcoaster
It would have been nice to have the paths connect and eliminate the dead end!
29yrswithaGApass
Roaring Rapids opened up when the park was still heavily wooded and trees blocked many views. I can remember people constantly saying back in 1981 where is that Rapids ride because it was tucked away at the end of a low traffic path. Great Adventurer
This is so cool! Everything about its crafting is so meticulous. As cool as digitized models are, I definitely agree that nothing beats physical ones like these.
29yrswithaGApass
For those who read the spotlight when it was first published last week, we were given some great new information about the model from its creator including that the model actually worked with flowing water and had working waterfalls! Give it a re-read if you have a chance.
