southview2
I think Flying Wave might make a comeback, it is still listed on the site. Maybe it got shipped off for a very exstensive overhaul and it will be on its way back for next season...hopefully.
GAcoaster
I agree we will probably see a swing ride come to the park in the next year or two, but I would guess it would be a new one or a different one. There were so many problems with the Flying Wave, I think it really needed replacement.
J4Sing
They should replace all the mechanical parts, maybe even get a new swing ride, but restore the original artwork that was on the classic Flying Wave. The artwork was half the ride's charm. I've seen some newer swing rides in my travels, they are rather boring looking compared to the Flying Wave. JetsDevs4Lyf
Hey if the park brings one back, and continues with their attempt at theming/eye candy with rides who knows what they could pull off with even a simple swing ride.
Guest warnerleroy
I'd like to have Flying Wave back, but if it was between that and a Dark Ride, I'd take the Dark Ride.
29yrswithaGApass
I love the looks of the Zierer Flying Wave type swing ride, but I think the Chance Yo Yo style offers a more exciting ride.
The Master
Moreys has a nice custom painted swing ride with Wildwood scenes. It would be nice if SF could get a custom swing ride to replace the old one. Edited August 8, 2008 by The Master
David
I'd like to have Flying Wave back, but if it was between that and a Dark Ride, I'd take the Dark Ride. The dark night is soooo boring

Ithink the flying wave is way more exciting than a yoyo swing. Woo GO FLYING WAVE
29yrswithaGApass
The best part of the Yo Yo Swings model is when the cars tip backward ever so slightly... just enough to create a thrill.
mrceagle
I enjoy the Yo Yo's but don't care for them at parks. feel they look like they fit in better in a carnival. They would need to weigh the price of rehab over buying new. Depending on the amount of work a new ride would be the best move. If they were to buy new they should look to Wood Designs. They have only built a few Swings but have the best movement I have found on any swing ride. here are a few images form Canobie Lake Park's Davinci's Dream. cygnus12
I think another Wave Swinger would be better than a Yo Yo. I agree with mrceagle in that they're kind of carny looking with their exposed sweeps and overall rinky dink-ness. Wasn't that the original idea back in 05/06 when they took it apart and did the whole rehab?
scipiomask
CoasterFusion's semi-confirmed rumor says that we might be getting a new swing ride. I think it would be cool to turn the west side of Fantasy Forest into a Great Adventure Legacy sort of area, with old signage and such, and the Flying Wave could have paintings of the old roller coasters on it, like Lightnin' Loops and Viper, and of course Warner LeRoy
