Suppose as part of Six Flags' new partnership with a major paint supplier the park was given unlimited paint and a huge staff of painters free of charge. Their mission is to repaint the major ride structure in the park. What colors would you paint the following rides? 1. Nitro 2. Batman The Ride 3. Giant Wheel 4. Skyride Towers 5. Nitro- Touch up the current blue and yellow but make the rails a deep orange. 2. Batman The Ride- Make it black again! 3. Giant Wheel- A nice brilliant white. 4. Skyride Towers- Make them green again to blend with the trees. 5. Great American Scream Machine- Same colors, how could you possibly change this? Maybe make the support structures alternate blue and white. 6. Kingda Ka- I'd put the alternating blue and green that's on the launch track on the return track too, going from the bottom of the tower to the station. 7. Rolling Thunder- Fresh white, with bright yellow railings. 8. Medusa- Make the track a distinguishable bright green (Not yellow!) and redo the supports with the bright purple they used to be. 9. Parachute Tower- Some kind of pattern with red, white and blue, kind of pairing it with GASM. Maybe make the tower blue with white stars and the top red. 10. Forest, hunter, olive...it doesn't matter 7. Rolling Thunder- I know it looks cooler all white by Kingda Ka, but I thought racing stripes on the catwalks would look cool. Some yellow thrown in randomly for effect would be nice. I liked the powder blue and red rails too. 8. Medusa- Whatever colors the park who wants it would paint it. Railer Posted July 31, 2008 Report Share Posted July 31, 2008 1. Nitro- I would go with a blue and silver combo, more of metallic look to it would be more fitting. 2. Batman- A Carbon Fiber looking black paint. 3. Big Wheel- White, keep it the way it is. But if you want a makeover, I'd paint it yellow and orange and change the name to "Sundial" 4. Skyride- A green color, whatever shade matches the trees best. It would look better today than it did back in the day, cause' the trees are alot bigger and taller now. 5. Scream Machine- Keep it the same, just always maintain it's fresh looking paint. 6. Kingda Ka- Keep it the same, it matches perfectly with the area. Maybe change some of the car color's. 7. Rolling Thunder- Keep it the same, A classic white racer. 8. Medusa- I like our purple monster the way it is, or I quess the way it's supposed to look.This ride needs paint more than any other coaster in the park. 9. Parachute Tower- Maybe a sky blue, with clouds on it. Try and make it "dissapear" on a clear day. It would probably look awesome. 10. Carousel Horses- Restore it to it's original glory, I even want to see the old steam engine moving under a new piece of glass. Even if it's just for show, having that old engine moving would be a classy touch. Most of the rides have fine color selection's on them the way they are, I just wish they were painted more often, than they currently are. RobertDavid Posted August 3, 2008 Report Share Posted August 3, 2008 I never understood how Medusa fit into the Frontier Adventures section of the park. If I remember correctly the station is western themed, but the ride is purple and lime green and called "Medusa"? What kind of drugs were these people on? Why not paint it to fit into the section they put it in and call it something approprite, perhaps an indian theme? I know it will never happen, but I would love to see the carousel get a roof like the Yum Yum Palace ( I refuse to call it the Character Cafe ) to finish it's ice cream sundae theme. I believe that was the original intent but it never happened. The roof that was added is very colorful, but doesn't make any sense. I would also like to see the colors brought back to the skyride cars. The old cars were each painted a different bright glossy color. The current dull red and blue cars are very bland. CoasterPrince Posted August 11, 2009 Report Share Posted August 11, 2009 (edited) I just vomited in my mouth. We really need some more colorful things. Orange, Teal, Yellow, Purple, and Light Green. Cedar Fair parks feel so homey with such a beautiful setting of colors. I want to see a Orange coaster soon. Not BBLTT orange...Neon Orange. The skyride cars can stay the same though.
