GAcoaster
I just saw the bubble at Adventure Crossing collapsed in the storm.
29yrswithaGApass
It’s nice to see that the Ocean County officials refer to the park as Great Adventure and not Six Flags!

The bubble at Adventure crossing actually deflated as apart of a designed safety measure! Edited April 2, 2023 by EasternThrills
GAcoaster
From Facebook: Quote Jason Barlow · NWS (National Weather Service) has CONFIRMED a tornado immediately in and around the the vicinity of Great Adventure did touch down. It is estimated to be an EF1 with winds of 95mph-100mph. Weather monitoring station on water tower at park during event did record 98mph winds according to 6abc. Full analysis will be released tonight. As for damage at Great Adventure (that I know and can confirm): Trees down all over, umbrellas strewn about, roofs and siding damaged throughout park, ceilings collapsed in some stores, half the sign of the cantina next to Batman Stunt Show Arena was ripped off, fences blown over, car in bumper cars was flipped, and Seaport area (between Skull Mountain and Jersey Devil) was heavily damaged. Unfortunately, there were some minor injuries suffered during the event. I haven't been able to get verification of all this, but I'm sure we'll learn more in the next few days. The Master
Hopefully they didn't get that much damage. 6ABC reported there was a confirmed tornado in Jackson Township last night.
29yrswithaGApass
An article discusses that the inflatable building at Adventure Crossing should have been deflated before the storm but was not. It says the storm damaged and brought it down. The article is HERE.
Swashbucklerfan16
I don't know the specifics, but apparently debris is scattered around the entire park, a sign fell over (I can't remember which one unfortunately), and parks in between Jersey Devil and Skull Mountain were severely damaged. Hopefully everything is better by the time the park opens!
The Master
If the condition of the park is real bad, it won't be surprising if park opening is delayed again.
29yrswithaGApass
According to the park… As you know, the safety of our guests and team members is our top priority. Due to our advanced preparedness, including securing our buildings and loose items, the park sustained minimal damage. All of our animals were safely secured prior to the storm, and all are doing well. The park will be open, as planned, daily April 5 – 16 for our annual Spring Break.

Glad everyone is okay.
