  1. Can't wait! I went on my first cruise back in November for my honeymoon and now I'm addicted. We sailed on the Liberty of the Seas, what an amazing ship and experience. Looking forward to the trip report. Pete
  2. I can't really say I have a favorite, but the first one that comes to mind is the old Viper queue area. Before it became a little run down, I always enjoyed walking past the section even if I didn't ride. I remember standing in line for Viper and watching the western theme comedy show they performed there. Pete
  3. I would still love to see the Switzerland Pavilion built with a similar ride to the Matterhorn. That'd be awesome! Pete
  4. I guess time will tell but ya gotta admit, Demon Drop would fit perfect in Lazer's old foot print. Not my first choice but, we'll see. Pete
  5. Hopefully one of these seasons RT will get the "Big Wheel" treatment and get a full makeover. Still a fun ride regardless. Pete
  6. The State was Oklahoma but I don't recall what it said. Six Flags used to be based in Oklahoma. Pete
  7. The Safari entrance/exit care center area.
  8. Speaking of the Space Shuttle - Did you guys happen to notice on your tour if the ride platform and queue line have been dismantled yet? Pete
  9. Am I the only one that has never heard of Bizzaro until today?? ^^I still agree with the western theme idea too. Definitely more fitting IMO. Pete
  10. This is amazing! After the Big Wheel rehab was announced I don't think there wasn't a single person on here who said or thought to themselves "man, I hope the Carousel gets the same treatment soon." I don't think any of us expected it this year! Totally awesome! Thanks for the news, guys! Pete
  11. Boomers! Family Fun Center on Long Island has the same Zamperla kiddie coaster model and it too was taken down after a few months of operation then rebuilt. And this was in the spring or summer of 1999 also. Seeing before and after pictures, they also added a catwalk and chain sled that weren't part of the original. As you can imagin, if the train got stuck on the lift hill, although its small, it would be difficult to get the riders off. I remember at Coaster Celebration that year them mentioning that it wouldn't be open for ERT because they had to dismantle it. I remember being pretty confused. Pete
  12. ^^I think the red and yellow hyper your refering to not a hyper, it is Superman. It's just the angle that makes it look like a hyper but its a flyer. Pete
  13. I'm really glad to see they're keeping the floral pattern. It really sets the Big Wheel apart from other ferris wheel designs. Perhaps with all of this attention going to revamp rides, maybe the Carousel will be on top of next years list? Hoping.... Pete
  14. I love the layout! The pictures are of great quality (as always) and being able to jump to different sections of the park was great. I visited MK last June for the first time in about 13 years and was only able to get 7 hours in later in the day. These pictures allowed me to see MK as I had remembered it when I was a kid. Hopefully I will be able to take more time to absorb it all when I go back in 2 years. Thanks! Pete
  15. It definitely appears to be a rehab. If you look at the photos, the queue line is fully intact. I think that if the ride was being removed they would have taken out the queue for easier removal. Pete
  16. Rolling Thunder really looks great in that photo standing out above the tree line. Pete

Some of my favorite memories of the park are on this ride. I loved riding late in the night when there'd be no lines and they would just let you stay on doing lap after lap. One time my sister and I must have stayed on for atleast 8-10 consecutive rides...just awesome! Pete
  18. ^ Or even move the Jolly Roger over to Pirates Flight's old spot and use that whole area between the Buccaneer and Panda Express for a splash battle ride. Pete
  19. Are you counting the train ride they had at the Winter Lights villiage? I don't remember the name of it. Pete
  20. Yes, please! Everytime my fiance and I go through the Safari, we always have the same reaction: "Wouldn't new black top just make this place look amazing?" I know pavings expensive so perhaps it could be done section by section. Start at the beginning and do one or two sections per year. Pete
  21. Wow, I have seen the Mickey Mouse Revue but didn't remember what it was until I saw those pictures. It's been a long time. I was back at the Magic Kingdom this past June for the first time in 12 years and experienced Mickey's Philharmagic. It was one of my favorite attractions at Disney. It was fun and truly exciting. The ending was my favorite! So, I think this will be a positive move for Tokyo Disneyland. (Even though I've never been) Pete
  22. At one time, one was also located back by Koala Canyon. Pete
