  1. Now is when the speculation will really begin to pick up
  2. I'm sorry but The Golden Kingdom is one of the most immersive areas of the park. No one has a clue it was built on a former parking lot and seeing the skyline from the parking lot is a crowd drawer. So unless Great Adventure's attendance falls to nearly nothing like it did back before Great American Scream Machine, then the park is doing something right and you cannot deny that. The amusement industry in a business. Deal with it.
  3. The parks in Dubai seem to never work out though... lol
  4. The gp most likely don't know these rides are built on former parking lot space anyway. It makes the skyline look good while also drawing people in. Not sure how it looks tacky. I even catch myself watching Superman as I'm walking towards the park.
  5. ^One can only dream for the waterfall to return :/
  6. Really glad to see that all of the effects were working on Skull Mountain. Even some props were lit up that haven't been lit up recently, such as pumpkins throughout the ride. Plus, most of the effects were working The Dark Knight except for the train at the end; all the lights were off, too. It was an awesome night to get re-rides and even ride rides that i would normally skip due to long lines.
  7. Actually, Granny's added booths along the windows inside the restaurant as opposed to the regular tables that lined the windows.
  8. Six Flags Over Texas and Six Flags St. Louis have both acknowledged that the Justice League rides will need to be heavily maintained and will not let the effects crap out anytime soon. If that were to be the case at our park then i would welcome a dark ride with open arms.

Skull Mountain's soundtrack was on today so i hope it stays that way lol
  10. What are you talking about? Fright fest would be over anyway? So why would they have a diminished experience if the park is doing what it is supposed to be doing: taking down fright fest decorations.
  11. All i know is that it is cold and windy and miserable outside at my track meet. I would ASSUME it is not busy but im not there.
  12. Not sure if this has been mentioned, but Granny's bathrooms have been redone and look much nicer.
  13. No but what i meant is, Friday it was warm out and Nitro was not riding fast. I think its almost valley was caused from the wheels not being fully broken in PLUS the wind.
  14. If you were the one who i told to let the two older guys through first, then yea that was probably me lol. Nice to talk again xD
  15. Even with waiting a half hour after 10:20, riding in the front row on the second train of the year of Nitro, especially with how smooth it was, was pretty nice.
  16. Well it was only a light drizzle throughout most of the day. I'm home now and cant say if it is still raining. Many effect on the Dark Knight were not working and the music during Skull Mountain was not on. El Toro's crew was VERY slow. Other than that, super smooth day at Great Adventure and I even saw both the skyways open up around 12 or 1, even though the park was dead! Good to see.
  17. Even if the weather is poo, I'll still be going to the park today xD
  18. The thing is, whenever Twister IS open, there is always a long line and multiple spectators watching. It's a crowd drawer and something the park needs... and should keep.
  19. I feel like having all the costumes out at once in a kid's section would be nice for families/parents with little kids.
  20. This is a bit ridiculous. I feel as though that mandatory lockers/cubbies in the station for free, such as what Dorney has and some GA rides have, would be smarter and less annoying. People want their phones in line, especially in line for HRRR with constant long lines and the annoying queue videos. When i went to Universal in November, i rode HRRR and everyone was complaining about the mandatory lockers. If they get more complaints from this, i don't believe it will last long at all.
  21. I'm not sure how many it has, but Tower of Terror has multiple different drop sequences which add to the ride's re-rideability.
  22. That truly is an interesting report. Although we always do want to bash Six Flags for not giving us what we feel the park needs, its very interesting to see it from the business perspective. i cannot believe they never turned a profit until 2010.
