  1. Yesterday I and 2 of my friends went to the park. We were planning to go to hurricane harbor but after reading how only 16 people went there and they closed hh at 1:00, were happy we didn't. We arrived at the park at 12 expecting some crowds but it was not too busy for a Saturday! We went to El Toro first but saw the line was about a half hour and Rolling Thunder's Line was on the stairs so we walked over to Bizarro. Saw Kevin there and rode in the back row. Waited 2 trains. We walked over to Safari but saw the line was pretty long so we were going to come back to it later. We ate lunch at Best of the West and I had the pulled pork sandwich. Oh my goodness it was amazing!!! Did not even taste like Six Flags food! From here I cannot remember what we did in order. I know we rode runaway Mine Train, Blackbeard's, The Skyway, Sky screamer, Deja vu, Fender Benders, Big Wheel, Congo Rapids and then Nitro after that 7 times. No lines. Batman the Ride, The Dark Knight, Twister, Superman, Rolling Thunder eventually, (El Toro was down for part of the day but opened up later) El Toro 5 times, and Skull Mountain 5 times. We ate dinner at Best of the West again and I had the pulled pork sandwich again. Yes. I enjoyed it that much. We ended the day with a marathon on The Dark Knight; 7 times! But get this: We were all alone the last three rides, so out of curiosity we asked if the operator, whose name I remember to be Zack, if he could turn on the lights for us. He said he had an even better surprise for us. Our first ride, he sort of flickered the lights sporadically, switching from the lights on to total darkness with no effects on. The second ride, he turned all the lights on. It was soooo cool! And our last ride was in total blackness. The totally made our day. Probably one of the best Trips I've had at Great Adventure!! Zack, if you’re out there, thank you for making my day
  2. I'm much more excited to visit Saturday now! I was going to go to Hurricane Harbor expecting it to not be open but i'll get to ride it and with little to no line too!
  3. Well thank goodness they reopened that path. We have enough dead ends in the park already.
  4. Anyone know when Coasters after dark is for THIS year?
  5. The oscars this year had some very edgy jokes..
  6. El toro actually did have 2 trains running later in the day today!! And while on rolling thunder i saw workers working on the right side of the track, with some new wood... Possibly retracking some section?!
  7. I'm having trouble watching the In memorium video... Im missing a plug in but i dont know what plug in?
  8. Does anyone know WHY blackbeards isn't open, though?
  9. Im visiting seaside and point pleasant this coming tuesday to see how it looks! Any suggestions where to look for open restaurants?
  10. I was bummed that many rides, including el toro, batman, even nitro later in the day, were down to 1 train operation. Plus, does anyone know why el toro was down so much? I blame the weather but me and my friends waited it out for an hour and a half and it eventually opened again.
  11. Now i realize this video may be racist a little bit but i found it very funny. i'm not racist at all i just want you guys to have a good laugh. ;D
  12. Not to be a grammar nazi, but it should be "first fowards and then backwards, not "forwards and than backwards"
  13. I miss those old commercials! Seeing the bus whenever i come to the park brings back memories once again:)
  14. Although I never rode it, my mom sure is happy its gone.
  15. Millenium Force has so much wasted track, while every single bit on Nitro is pure excitement. Whether its almost blacking out or getting some good floater airtime. I would have picked Millenium Force if it had more of that. I'm starting to think youre a Cedar Point Fanboy
  16. Can I just point out that kingda Ka's theming is much better than top thrill dragsters. Cedar fair is not good at theming, I think we can all agree on that.
  17. While its a great idea as a relief fund, I'm going to sound selfish here: will this make opening day crowds any larger? :/
  18. Any news? I wonder if they started groundbreaking now that the music festival thing is over?
  19. Or possibly replacing the teepee and given a totem pole theme
  20. With the upcoming soa, bizarro's ridership may just increase
  21. They could make Best of the West very unique if they wished.
  22. Even having sign for rides in the children sections adds more to the park
