They've sold beer (and wine?) at Best of the West for as long as I can remember. They also have the Main Street Pub near the fountain, and Granny's sells alcohol.
It "has" air conditioning, but it only does so much when you have tons of people and the doors wide open for a couple minutes. It will probably be the same as with Collins Key.
I've done 10 new coasters so far this year. Last year was a big year for me with 42 new credits. (Steel Pier, Morey's Piers, Dorney, Kings Dominion, BGW, Knoebels, and 2 Hershey coasters) I doubled my count in 1 year!
Look for Great Adventure on Travel Channel's Bert the Conquerer Season 3, probably in October! We also filmed stuff for his other show, but I forget the name and don't know when that'll be on TV.
I would have told you all already if I was willing to share any info I may or may not have!
Okay!
The only bad part is when you know something that others can never know. Especially when there are rumors floating around that you can't set straight.
^ Nothing like a stunt show, but "entertainers" would probably be a more appropriate word. (I'm assuming that SFA is also over-exaggerating their use of the term "Stunt team")
We have at least 1 employee who juggles while standing on a piece of wood on a cylinder, people who do kinetic stilt tricks, etc. We used to have a really good hoola-hoop performer, but I know one of our entertainers this year has been practicing that.
We've had Block Party for the past few years.. (I think this is at least year 3?)
We don't have drummers, but we do have the dancers, stunt team, magicians, and Looney Tunes characters out for it. It basically comes down to what skills the entertainment employees have.
^ I think a better comparison is to cell phones. Carriers give phones for cheap/free because what they really want you paying is the monthly bill. Amusement Parks will try to get you in the gate with these cheap deals because they want to spend more inside and then come back several times.
^ The one ScreamSource is actually referring to is the 6-element version. More specifically, 4 flips and 4 potential flips. http://www.engineeringexcitement.com/product/4d-free-spin/
And S&S prominently displaying the layout on their website is nowhere near being "leaked".
Ironically, the 4D Free-spin. Since it doesn't have any turns, it only moves in an x and y plane (2 dimensions). The third and final dimension would be the rotation of the seat.
After riding Twister for the first time in a while, I realized what a unique feeling it is. Nothing else in the park feels like that. (Maybe slingshot, if you're lucky). Flipping isn't for everyone, but I think it would be great for the park to have another flipping experience.
