  1. I really need to warn you about this. ALWAYS take what employees say with a grain of salt. They genuinely don't know what's happening, and most of the rumors are spread through them. No one who actually knows the plans is going to tell you. Whatever they tell you does not "CONFIRM!" anything.
  2. Ah, okay. Getting the wider perspective on where he's located makes more sense now.
  3. He looks a little lonely there in the middle of nowhere.
  4. I talked with Kristin (from PR) about Batman Backwards yesterday. They're working on a tight schedule to minimize the downtime. She's confident the ride will be on schedule on the park's part, but it all comes down to getting state approval in time. That's probably why they haven't announced a preview day yet.
  5. Reminder: These ideas went to every Six Flags park.. not just Great Adventure.
  6. That's actually a great idea. That explains why their run of Batman Backwards was extended until right before ours. I wonder how they'll handle restoring it to the regular trains. Come September, they have weekdays to preform the switch, but I think they'll need at least 1 weekend of downtime to swap all 4 trains, dismantle Georgia's backwards trains, and reassemble them as normal. This is, of course, if they're not sending Batman Backwards to another park or keeping it here until Fright Fest ends.
  7. It's not supposed to work at any other park. However, some people have been able to use it at other parks, while others have not. Our current theory is that anyone who bought the dining pass in September 2014 is able to use it at all SF parks. (AKA before the Deluxe Plan, when everyone was auto-upgraded)
  8. I'm not sure what you're referring to. My post was responding to ScreamSource from the previous page, in particular to this image: https://instagram.com/p/35GplEqDgE/?taken-by=screamsource
  9. So instead of running into the station, you jumped off the 10 foot ramp?
  10. It's pretty clearly fake. It has horrible grammar with a very unprofessional tone. Whoever tried making up their own rumor did a pretty poor job. That's just not how something from Six Flags would sound like.
  11. A lot. George Washington Bridge is $14 cash. I think in total, it costed $25 with my dad's EZ Pass, and that's cheaper than paying with cash.
  12. Yes, every park got the same selection of ride ideas. There's about 5 or 6 different ideas that you can get from this survey.
  13. Thanks! I've been told it's one of two remaining S&S woodies. Interestingly, it was designed by Alan Schilke, who now works for RMC.
  14. There's something specific in that idea that doesn't have a good history at Great Adventure. Because of that, I'll be interested to see how that is addressed with this new ride.
  15. Leading up to Coaster Con this week at Great Adventure, Storybook Land, and Morey's Piers, ACE held some add-on pre-con events. Saturday afternoon was Highway to Hellcat at Clementon Park. We got free parking, hotdogs cooked by ACE NJ Rep, Bret, and ERT on Hellcat (even though we left beforehand). I went with Rob, and it was both of our first times at Clementon. It's a very interesting small park. Sadly, the log flume wasn't open, which I wanted to ride. Hellcat looked great in pictures, but was very rough. We also rode their swinging ship, ARM drop tower, ferris wheel, train ride, and Zamperla kite fliers. After the hotdogs, Rob and I headed over to Great Adventure and met up with our friend Rich. We saw the "Show Off" dance show in Bugs Bunny National Park, then rode the Skyway to Panda Express, and finished the night watching the soft opening of the Summer Block Party. I believe the Block Party is nightly around 9:15pm, but I don't know if they decided yet. Gather around the fountain to watch the Six Flags dancers, Looney Tunes characters, and performers! I saw the soft opening last year, and they did a better job this year! It seemed better rehearsed and most people probably couldn't tell it was their first time preforming it. I'm really glad they have been bringing it back every summer, it's definitely something the park needs and it's a cool way to end the night. Thanks to ACE NJ Reps Bret, Mark, and David for the event and hotdogs. Good luck with Coaster Con this week! Pictures! I didn't bring my camera, so these are all smartphone pics, combined with gloomy clouds. Off to Six Flags! WINGRIDER CONFIRMED!
  16. People from every park got the same ride options, so this one isn't specific to Great Adventure. I do love that animation, but I have my doubts about it, especially in regards to what manufacturer it could be.
  17. ^Also, I think they sell a strap like that in the Main Street Market. At least, they did last year.
  18. Frontier (developers of RCT3) officially announced their new coaster simulation game at E3, Planet Coaster. It looks pretty cool. There's definitely a lot of competition right now between all the coaster games.
  19. I usually use lockers when I go because I bring my camera, and I've never seen them out of lockers. I usually don't ride when the lines are long, though. If they are full, another set of lockers is probably just a 30 second walk away.
  20. Except it's been the home of 2 Fright Fest terror trails for the past 2 or 3 years.
  21. ^ There are no free lockers. Any loose articles have to go in a locker. Lockers are $1 per use, or $8 for the entire day. The $8 option lets you "move" the locker with you as you go from ride to ride. The official rule is that phones must be in a zippered or buttoned pocket, but it's not like they're going to check.
  22. Thanks everyone! They did do a lot with Twister from what I've heard. As for Macho Nacho, I've been thinking the same thing. They're strangely building around it.
  23. I went to the park today for a bit by myself. The highlight of the day is that Twister opened yesterday, so I spent time taking pictures and video of it. I think it got new lights, since they're incredibly bright at night. The cycle I recorded had 7 flips, and it was very close to an 8th! At night, a heartbeat pounds through the speakers as the strobes flash for the upside-down finale. I tried to go to Safari Discoveries, but it was closed all day. The park ended up staying open an extra hour until 9pm, plus I stayed for the Discover ERT. Here are some pics! Includes some Twister shots, artsy shots, Macho Nacho shots, new UV glass on El Diablo's operator booth, and more. And the video of Twister's cycle:
  24. Ah, that explains it! One of my thoughts was that they just built a set in the parking lot.
