  1. I'm definitely going to the park on Friday for opening day. I've never actually been to opening day so I'm excited. I just upgraded my membership to Diamond Elite, got dining, and reserved my parking for Friday. They seem very strict about to preferred parking which is good. I believe it said you have to reserve no later than 5 am the day off, and you can't cancel after 9 am the day of. It also noted that if you don't cancel and don't show up to use it, you may be blocked from the privilege for a time.
  2. But you can probably just pick them up later in the day right? Maybe after a few rides you realize you want to do the Safari and kingda ka which both have long waits, so you pick them up then. I really wish you could do it all in the app though.
  3. Anyone try to upgrade their membership yet? On the member portal it says there should be an upgrade button but there isn't.
  4. The diamond elite membership includes a 50% discount on the season flash pass making it $200 which is interesting. I would get it if it was valid at all six flags parks but I don't think it is.
  5. It's only $1 but it really adds up being a sp holder. If I go on KK, El toro and the Joker that's $3 every time. They should have an all season locker pass but I doubt that'll happen.
  6. They really need to make the lockers free like at Hershey. The line for a locker will be way shorter if you don't have to pay. If they're free then I feel like way more people will get lockers.
  7. That's true. I could end up riding it and enjoying it. But like others have said it's very similar to El Diablo.
  8. I really hope we get surprised with something amazing but I doubt that's gonna happen.
  9. It does look really cool. I hope Wasteland is the maze that is getting replaced because I remember that one being my least favorite last year.
  10. I was at the park today and saw a sign that said the park was pre selling fright fest maze passes. It also said that there will be two new mazes this year with a total of 7! I remember there being 7 last year so will two of them just be completely different?
  11. Did the park know when they announced Zumanjaro that the state wouldn't let it and KK run at the same time? Or was it after they built most of it because I remember it got delayed and didn't open until July.
  12. When there isn't a line in the pre show room and they make me watch the pre show I just keep walking straight through the door lol. They've never really cared but I've only done it a few times.
  13. Thank you! I thought Justice league was very fun and a really cool ride. The parts where the ride went right up to the screens were very immersive.
  14. I'm headed to the park today to try the ride for the first time. It's supposed to rain all day so good thing it's an indoor ride lol. This is also gonna be my first time driving to the park because I just got my license yesterday!
  15. Looks like Metro Grill will open too! Wow even a separate entrance for the event? Maybe through the picnic area? I'm gonna try to make it next Thursday. I'm so excited!
  16. I'm going Saturday because the weather looks better. I'm probably going to HH and GA so hopefully the forecast doesn't change.
  17. I know right!? I've been wanting to go to HH but its just not warm enough yet.
  18. I haven't seen it and I've been to the park four times this season.
  19. I went on Saturday and forgot to wear zippered pockets. I wasn't even going to try to bring my phone on a ride so I rented a locker. It was only $8 for the entire day and I could move my stuff from ride to ride. I also got my yellow cup stolen while riding Bizarro the time before so I was glad that my cup wouldn't be stolen either. Honestly I think I might pay the $8 every time because then I don't have to worry. It's even cheaper when split between another person. In 2011 my phone flew out of my pocket on Batman and I never want that to happen again. Also a few weeks ago when they first started enforcing the policy I went on El Toro. I had a zippered pocket and didn't feel like waiting in line to buy a locker so I just said no when they asked if I had a phone. After waiting in line, and being next in line for back row, a security guard came out of nowhere and said "you can't have a phone on this ride". My phone was in my pocket and knew just based on looking. He made we walk all the way back through the line and it was awful. I don't want that to happen again especially if I wait more than 20 minutes in line because then I forfeit my spot in line.
  20. I just fake my location so that I can see the wait times even at home. It usually doesn't effect if I'm going or not because they don't start until 12 and I usually go to the park in the morning.
  21. I never said he got it for free. He had to pay $5.50 for a replacement. The same friend lost his all season cup last year and payed the same price except they gave him another all season cup. Also I'm pretty sure they only let you replace it once per season because they scan you season pass when you buy the replacement. I'm very responsible about my cup and have never lost it. The only thing that happened last season was my straw got a hole in it from bending it so much and that was easily replaced.
  22. Yesterday my friend was at the park and forgot his yellow cup at home. When he went to guest relations to get a replacement they told him that they don't replace the all season cups anymore! Instead they gave him a red one that's only good for the day. I think that's kinda of ridiculous that they won't replace your yellow cup if it gets lost or stolen. I'm not spending $30 if I happen to lose my cup this season.
  23. I also enjoy riding zumanjaro because it always has a very short wait, but with vr and the slow dispatches I definitely won't be riding it nearly as much.
  24. Out of all the rides they can put vr on I think Zumanjaro is one of the worst. In my opinion Bizarro makes a lot more sense. When I ride Zumanjaro I like to enjoy the view from the top and vr kind of ruins it. I mean I could always ride without vr but still.
  25. Considering you have to pay for a locker, I think the majority of people are just going to sneak their phone on the ride. If they really wanted to prevent people from taking out their phones then they would make the lockers free. I know they do that at Hershey for skyrush. So do they just ask you if you have your phone or keys and nothing else?
