  1. In the pov I noticed the green side seem to have the first fin off of the lift sooner than the purple side. Why is that?
  2. That's true but at the same time when choosing a row many people don't really care but if one makes you sick and another doesn't, people are going to care.
  3. If they did have a more intense and less intense side, wouldn't that affect wait times? There's no way an equal amount of people would want to go to either side. Personally I would ride the more intense side but I could see a lot of people not wanting to because it could easy make them dizzy.
  4. That's what I like about this coaster. Every ride is a little unique. I wonder when they'll start adding the queue and plaza. It's almost May and they haven't started that part yet.
  5. That's true but buying food isn't as expensive as a gold flash pass, and if you are paying a lot of money to get a season flash pass and then if you happen to pay for the other person's in your group that can be inconvenient. But at the same time it really depends on how often you would bring people who didn't have a season flash pass. In the email, when I click "learn more" it doesn't load the page. Anyone know how much it costs? I probably won't get that, but I'm very curious to see how much it is.
  6. Also, how would the season flash pass work if you use a bring a friend? Would you have to buy one for them? That would ruin it.
  7. Wow that's kind of interesting but at the same time, many season pass holders know the times of the year when the park isn't crowded and try to go then. Even if the park is crowded and there are long lines, I know I've either already ridden the ride before and can go on it next time at the park so I wouldn't really need that. Also, it'll probably be VERY expensive I'm guessing.
  8. I hope I can make it. I haven't been to the previous ones so it seems pretty cool to check out. Do you just enter it through the parking lot? It says with valid admission but it looks like its in the parking lot so how does that work?
  9. It would be cool if they had the windows on the lift part open for a couple seconds and close really fast so that it suddenly gets pitch black. At that moment some sort of prop/glow lights could turn on.
  10. I was just at Disney last week and I can say this about fastpass+. I reserved all the rides a few days in advance and still didn't get test track, seven dwarfs mine train, or toy story mania, so trying to fastpass those rides the day you go will be most likely impossible. At Hollywood Studios, we ended up going to a kiosk to see if we could reserve toy story mania after we already used two of our fastpasses. The cast member told us that people book toy story mania months in advance (resort guests can reserve them 60 in advance I think) and the stand by line got up to two and a half hours at one point while we were there. Space mountain will most likely have an opening for fastpass+ the same day because I noticed that there are actually two space mountains that are identical to each other. They use one for stand by and one for fastpass so the fastpass line moves very quickly and they don't mix at all. Also we waited for test track, and when we got in line the stand by was two hours but we only ended up waiting less than an hour. Part of waiting is designing your car which makes it seem even faster. As for shows, the Indiana Jones show at Hollywood Studios was my favorite. Also, to the left of the entrance to that show, there's a sign that says don't pull the rope. Pull it. I also saw the lion king show in animal kingdom which was pretty good. There were acrobats and they get the audience involved a little bit so it's fun. I also went to Blizzard Beach, and it wasn't that impressive. It was only 70 that day so it was literally empty. The top most thrilling rides (summit plummet and some other one) were closed which was disappointing. We ended up going on every single slide in the park that was open and the lazy river in only two hours. A small locker there is $10 and a large is $15. There was no deposit because it was all electronic and key less. Also they had towel rentals for $2 each.
  11. I don't know if this is possible, but it would be cool to have one half of batman's train backwards and the other half forwards. I really liked the ride backwards, but I also like it forwards. That would be so cool to be able to ride it twice and have a different experience each time.
  12. I would want Kingda Ka to have new restraints. Maybe a vest restraint or a lap bar.
  13. Noooooooo. I really looked forward to coasters after dark every year. It was the one time where the park was a complete ghost town and I got in numerous re-rides.
  14. I would want this type of queue for our joker https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZlyw-mmL8k. It wouldn't be the whole thing, but just the beginning where the line would rarely actually get up to so that you aren't sweating in there the whole time. It has that fun house feel which is really cool.
  15. Personally, I think that the whole idea is pretty cool. I would love to have a vr experience on a ride like Bizarro because it doesn't get much love these days. I have experienced vr before, and it is very cool. Going on a coaster with vr would be amazing to me. But if they do let you try them on before you go on the ride, I think people will be able to make a judgement on how sick they'll get. Usually when you try vr normally you'll immediately know if it can make you nauseous. I also think that this could be cool on skyscreamer, and once you get to the top they can make it so you are literally above the clouds when you look down. Then there could be other interesting things to look at. Or on a coaster they could add "virtual near miss elements" where you think something is going to hit you but it can't. Your brain really gets tricked into thinking things in the headset are real and it can actually make you scared for a second. I feel like it could be really good, but it all depends on what the simulation is actually like.
  16. How does it work exactly? Do you just scan it and pick where you were sitting yourself? Or do you need to tell the person where you were sitting and have to find it every time? Also, can you immediately look at them on your phone?
  17. They should convert TDK to a vr coaster. It would make the coaster 10x better in my opinion.
  18. If you ran the park, what would you do about loose articles? Personally I would have some sort of small box almost like a safe that attaches to the seat in front of you. You put your things in there, close it, and it stays locked during the ride. Then when the restraints unlock, so do the boxes. Of course there would have to be padding in there so your phone for example wouldn't just shatter though. Then they could have you put your drink cup off to the side. I think many people want to attempt to hold their loose articles on the ride with them because they either don't want their stuff to be stolen, or they don't want to pay for a locker. They could also hook up the boxes to the ride's system so that when the computer checks if the restraints are locked, it also checks if the boxes are locked. If this solution is too expensive they could always just add a zippered pouch, but they have the possibility of not always being zippered and the whole box locking solution could possibly let Zumanjaro run with Kingda Ka.
  19. RCTW because I loved RCT3. I already pre-ordered it and it looks great so far. I like how they're actually listening to what the fans say about pretty much everything and will delay the game to meet the needs. I think they partnered with six flags so maybe there will be some rides that are at six flags parks.
  20. 29yrswithaGApass knows everything that happens in the park.
  21. Maybe this warm weather will make it so Total Mayhem can open early next year. I was hoping to go snowboarding a few days after Christmas at Camelback, but they didn't open yet because they can't make any snow yet and it's December!
  22. I love that idea. It would also be cool if you could rent a gopro, then there would be mounts on the back of the seat in front of you on every coaster. Then instead of buying a picture you could have a video.

El Toro actually ran two trains for a lot of the day. I was in the station when they added the second one at about 12:30. Right after that, it broke down and they had to put one train right before the lift hill, and roll back the other one to the brakes before the station. Then a guy got on the tracks and sprayed it with something. I'm not sure what he did. It was like a spray paint can or something. Does anyone know what that could of been? I rode it later that night when the line was really short and ended up getting stuck at the top for about five minutes in the back row. The ops climbed the stairs and told us that the other train overshot the sensors in the station which caused the entire ride to shut down. We didn't have to evacuate and the ride started again. It was fun because it was my last ride of the night and my last ride on el toro of the season.
