  1. I went on the 4th last year and it surprisingly wasn't really crowded at all. I remember the longest wait being maybe 20 minutes. You should be fine.
  2. Good to know. I'll definitely wait then.
  3. It went a noticeably slower through the corkscrews, but it didn't really "crawl". I think the train just gained speed from the turns before it enough for it to go through fast enough. It was maybe 3/4 of the normal speed.
  4. Me and my friend started off at HH at about 11am. It was a really hot day and we just wanted to get in a few slides before going to GA. We rode Hurricane Mountain with no wait. I went on the blue slide and it was okay. It got me wet so I was satisfied. Then we went on Tornado, and waited maybe 20 minutes. My friend went on Jurahnimo but I just didn't feel like going on. Then we went over to big wave racer and went on twice. We then decided that we were done with HH and got changed and waited for the shuttle to go to GA. We noticed that HH was started to get very crowded and it wasn't worth it to stay. At this point it was really starting to heat up as well. We took the shuttle and eventually got into the park at around 2. We then ate lunch at Best of the West, and since it was nearby we went on the log flume. We waited about 15 minutes and I got wet enough to cool off a bit which was nice. We then went on the Runaway Mine Train which was a one train wait for the back row. Then we went over to Bizarro and waited for front row. We ended up getting stuck on the mid-course break run for about 10 minutes which was interesting. It was weird having a "break" halfway through the ride. The ride finished a bit slower than usual and none of the effects were on. We then headed to El Toro and waited about 15 minutes for the back row. We later rode Zumanjaro three times in a row because there was a minimal wait of only a few minutes. After that we went to TDK which was a short wait but still had the pre-show which was annoying because there was no line and was unnecessary. I wanted to ride Batman but it was down all day long according to the app so we went to Nitro instead. Nitro's line started at the bottom of the stairs and we waited for back row. Then I got dinner at Panda Express but my friend had a dining pass and Panda Express isn't included so he went somewhere else to get food. After I finished my meal I started to feel a little sick and was debating whether to leave or not. I think the sun and walking around all day got to me even though I made sure to stay hydrated. I sat down on a bench for a good 15 minutes and soon felt better and was ready to ride more. We then checked the app and Skull Mountain and The Joker were both open and had been closed all day. The wait time on the app said 55 minutes for The Joker so we decided not to ride. We then went to El Toro and next to the entrance was the tent for the event that was after park closing. It was a Takis sponsored event because it was the first day of summer and the longest day of the year. They just said that we needed to show our season pass and then we would get a wristband which allowed us to have ERT for El Toro, Tango, and El Diablo from 9-10. We got the wristband and then decided to get in a few more rides in before the ERT. It was 8pm now so we only could get in a few more. We decided on Superman which was a station wait for the front row. Earlier in the day, the app said Superman was a 100 minute wait which was not worth it. I guess all of the school groups that we saw left which helped with the lines. We then decided on Kingda Ka next because earlier the app said it was a 70 wait but we new it would be shorter now. It was about a 15 minute wait and we rode at sunset at around 8:40. We then decided to run to The Joker with only 15 minutes until closing. Sadly, when I got there is was closed and the attendant said that they had to remove the riders from the break run and I was a little disappointed because I wanted to try out the green side. Then we went to El Toro for the ERT and started riding it a few minutes before it actually started. I noticed that there was a DJ that was giving away free prizes and they also gave out small bags of takis that we took. Our goal was to ride at least 10 times in a row and in that hour, we rode a total of 11 times in a row. Some rides we could stay in the same seat, some we had to switch rows, and some we had to walk around but it was very fun overall. It was weird seeing the rest of the park completely empty while riding. It was also very dark which made the experience very fun. We ended up riding in the last row or close to the last row most of the time because it's way more intense. Overall it was a very long, hot, and tiring day but I still had a ton of fun especially during the ERT. I set a record for the most times I've ridden a coaster in a row by far. Also I'm really considering getting a dining pass because I know it'll be worth it. I ended up spending so much money on food and having a dining pass would just be better. Hurricane Mountain- x1 Tornado- x1 Big Wave Racer- x2 Log Flume- x1 Mine train- x1 Bizarro- x1 Zumanjaro- x3 TDK- x1 Nitro- x1 Superman- x1 KK- x1 El Toro- x12
  5. Does anyone know how much the dare devil dive is? Is there a season pass discount? I'm going tomorrow and I'm thinking I might wanna ride it.
  6. I didn't plan on going to the park yesterday, I originally planned on going on Thursday if the forecast changed or Monday if it ended up raining. I got to the park at about 2:00 and it didn't seem very crowded. I was with my friend and we both decided that we wanted to go on the Joker first because neither of us have been on it yet. We ended up waiting about 15 minutes and went on the purple side. I thought it was pretty fun but not anything special. We only flipped once and I wanted to flip more. I feel like I need to ride the green side and then I'll have a better opinion of the ride. I thought the restraints were comfortable and it was pretty smooth and quiet. After that, we headed to El toro, and it was a station wait. We ended up going on twice and had to walk around for the second time. Then we went to Kingda Ka, which was an hour wait. I really didn't want to wait an hour for it because it was so hot out, but my friend insisted on riding it. It ended up breaking down once for 10 minutes so that added to the wait. Then since we waited so long already, he suggested that we wait for front row. This was my second time riding front row and the first time riding front row during the day. It was pretty fun. Then we headed to Zumanjaro which was a few minute wait. My friend was about to ride it for his first time but backed out due to fear. He managed to go on KK but not Zumanjaro which I thought didn't make sense. After that we went to Rita's, and while we were eating we walked back to El Toro and it looked to be about a 30 minute wait. We decided to leave and maybe come back later if we had time. We then proceeded to the Skyway which was about a 10 minute wait. Since we got off of the Skyway right next to Skull Mountain, we went on with only a station wait for the front row. We got off and then proceeded to Nitro which was also a station wait for the back row. We could of easily ridden Nitro again, but we were running out of time and had to leave at 6:00. We headed to TDK which had no pre-show and also little to no wait. We got off and walked back on to ride again, and each time we got back into the station we noticed that there was no one waiting and empty trains in front of us and we asked if we could go on again. We stayed on and rode four more times for a total of five for the day. The last two rides we experienced two odd things. The second to last time, we completely stopped on the block brakes that are towards the end right before the two little hills. When we started again, we went very slow through the rest of the ride which was and odd experience. Then when we rode for the final time, we completely stopped immediately after the turn going off of the lift. We went through the sharp turns at maybe a fourth of the speed as normal and it was very weird. The entire rest of the ride was extremely slow and was just odd to experience. Then we headed to Johnny Rocket's to eat dinner really quick. While we were eating our plans changed and we didn't have to leave until 7:00. We finished our meal and decided on going to El Toro yet again. There was even a shorter station wait with most of the rows excluding the first three with no one waiting for them. We first went in the very back row which is my favorite. We got back into the station and found an empty row and re-rode without having to walk around for a few more times. We ended up riding El Toro for a total of 6 times, and the last four times we didn't have to walk around. From there, we headed out and agreed that we had a very successful trip to the park. It was a very fun start to the season although late. We got on many rides when we were only there from 2 to 7. I also note that there were many school groups there, but they were gone by the time we rode Nitro which was at about 5:30. Joker- x1 El Toro- x6 Kingda Ka- x1 Zumanjaro- x1 Skyway- x1 Skull Mountain- x1 Nitro- x1 TDK- x5
  7. Does anyone know how bad the crowds might be on Monday the 20th? I was planning on going this Thursday but it looks like it's going to rain. If the forecast changes Wednesday night then I'll still go, but otherwise Monday looks sunny. I'm thinking that most school will be out by then, but at the same time it is a Monday and it's still June.
  8. A similar situation happened to me a few summers back when I was trying to get into Dorney. There was a huge line to get into the parking lot and they had to get police to direct traffic at several intersections. After waiting about and hour and not even close to being there, we left and came back a few weeks later.
  9. They always post it on their twitter and I checked and it didn't say anything about HH.
  10. Hopefully the wait is short enough when I go on Thursday that I can ride the Joker multiple times. Then hopefully I can ride the green side and the purple side and compare. Otherwise that's cool that the operators did that on superman and el toro. It's nice when they interact with guests like that and make it even more fun.
  11. My friend said he just ended up leaving and he never actually made it into the park. He said he's never seen the park that crowded ever.
  12. Wow I feel bad for my friend that's going there today.
  13. Haha I dabbed to the camera on Splash Mountain at Disney World and when I went to go look at the picture, I drew a crowd. I can't wait to ride the joker for the first time. It's my profile picture and I haven't even ridden it yet.
  14. Will there be ERT for Tango? I usually wait an hour for that ride the line is always so long. It's also my second favorite ride in the park besides El Diablo.
  15. Fantastic! I can't wait.
  16. I'm planning on going to the park for the first time this season (sadly I haven't been yet) next Thursday the 16th. Does anyone have a prediction as to how the crowds might be? I mean it's a weekday in June, and still sort of the middle of June. I know most schools will be out by then but who knows. The weather also looks pretty good. I'm hoping to ride The Joker for the first time and I'm really excited.
  17. I only go to HH once a year. I don't think I've ever gone more than once a year. They have decent slides, but the lines are often brutal. I much prefer Dorney's WWK and Morey's Piers waterparks. There's so many waterparks that are not too far that are better so I don't really care how terrible HH is.
  18. Do they let you pick the side you want to ride or do they tell you which side to go to?
  19. These pictures are making me excited! I can't wait for the Joker to open.
  20. When I went to the season pass preview for Skyscreamer (wow that was already 4 years ago) they had an employee standing at the entrance, and you just show him/her your pass.
  21. Any word on opening yet? On the site is says this May.
  22. They should really RMC thunderhawk. The last time I rode that coaster it was so rough it wasn't enjoyable. I don't think it'll happen, but having an RMC at that park would make it so much better. Also I don't know why they keep trying with Stinger. Instead of investing to fix that coaster they should invest in a new ride or RMCing thunderhawk.
  23. I went on the 4th last year and it seemed crowded, but the lines weren't bad at all. I remember the longest wait was maybe 20 minutes. The 4th is usually a surprisingly good day to go actually. It seems like the least crowded day of the summer compared to other days I go in the summer.
