I feel that naming a ride after a Super Hero/Villain will get more attention from the public. I doubt Superman will be as popular if it wasn't named/themed that way. Same thing with Batman the ride.

I went to the park today and I rode the scream machine. No signs to me looked like it was coming down anytime soon but the July 1st rumor is busted for now.

I just saw this on screamscape...I'm a little surprised right after they exited bankruptcy he's gone but hopefully this is another step in the right direction. I wasn't the biggest fan of Mark but this new guy seems to know how things are supposed to run.

Anything but Fly me to the moon! That was horrible. It's good to see they are getting a huge early jump for next year. Very good chance now whatever it is it should be ready for opening day 2011.

If they will only have 1 chopper holding 3 people, i think there will always be at least 3 people in the park that are willing pay to ride it. I would love to do this and get some nice pictures.

I went to opening day yesterday and it was a huge success! No complaints. 1000x better than last year's opening day.

I always take the NJ Transit. It runs everyday that the park is open to the public. The schedule isn't posted yet for the season on their web site but keep checking. Look for the bus number 308.

I'm sure you can get that added on at the park. I just wonder if they will charge you shipping. That will be nice if they don't considering they rip you off with the amount they charge to ship an envelope.

I haven't renewed my season pass yet for some reason and I just got this email saying they mailed me my 2010 season pass and all I have to do is activate it online when I get it. LINK

El Toro went up 1 and Nitro remained the same. El Toro was #4 last year and Nitro was #3.

What about the deal with your 5th visit to the park you get a discount on your renewal? Is that anytime after your 5th visit?

I think Professor Keaney's Xploratorium deserves a little more credit lol...The bumper car game was pretty fun.

The pictures of Kingda Ka with people riding it made my day. Thanks for sharing! I wish I can ride that Skyway car with no roof.

Nice photos! As long as the weather is nice, I'm definitely going back to the park one more time with a gold flash pass before the summer is over.

I was at the park Tuesday and it did not test at all or anything. The trains sat idle in the station and I saw maintenance workers working on the launch section of the track. Once it starts testing it shouldn't be long until it opens. This breakdown has turned out to be just as bad (if not worse) than the one it had in it's opening season.

Thanks guys! Having all sides of the skyway open is always nice. I actually did it 3x and this never really happened to me before but everyone who passes by either waved or said hi passing by. Hopefully Kingda Ka can return soon and I purposely kept checking to see if they were working on it and I was glad to see they were.

I took many photos so I'll let them speak for themselves. I was finally able to have a day off from work and everything else so this was my first trip back since opening day. My main purpose of the trip was to go to the safari and ride Bizarro. Park wasn't really crowded because the forecast said 40% chance of isolated t-storms which probably scared most people away and it didn't rain at all the whole day so the lines were pretty short except on El Toro and Bizarro. It was really hot the whole day. As soon as they dropped the ropes my brother and I went straight to Bizarro and we were the firs ones of the day on. So it was my first time on Bizarro and I did the Safari for the first time and loved both of them. I thought they did a great job overall with Bizarro. Kingda ka had no life the whole day but I did see maintenance workers around 6:30pm working on the launch section of the track and the small crane is still there in the middle of the ride. As I was taking pictures in the parking lot of KK sure enough 2 security golf cars drive by and shortly after that a security car comes by with about 4 people inside and asks if they could help me and I just said I was just taking pictures which I was. Then they said "ok we were just suspicious seeing people walking around by the bottom of KK" even though I was walking around the parking lot on the side of KK the whole time which is not blocked off to the public or anything. I was a solid 10-15 feet from the fence too the whole time. I guess they though we wanted to break in or something or just being cautious. Bucky Dent and Chris "Mad Dog" Russo were at the park. Chris Russo did his show on Sirius XM from 2-7 by Bizarro and did an interview with Bucky Dent and he signed some things for everyone. Overall I had a nice relaxing trip and accomplished what I wanted to do. This was one of the better GADV days I've had. Good thing I'm going to the park tomorrow and not today. Hopefully the rain in the forecast scares some people away for tomorrow.

It's good for Six Flags. Hopefully business is picking up for them after the Q2 loss they had.

If it's like a carnival ride it might. If it's a ride at Six Flags, Hershey or big parks like those no. With the exception of Son of Beast. I don't think I would ever ride that after what happened in the last few years.
