C. October 1990. The loops are off GASM and wasn't that around the time they re-enforced the loops?

It was REALLY tough trying to decide what to put in and leave out, and unfortunately we couldn't fit Nitro. We figured since it's still there and something that hasn't changed much, it was better to leave it out than to leave out some of the things that are no longer there or have changed dramatically.

 

We're hoping to (maybe) do a second volume and be able to cover even more...

I hope you didn't think I was complaining. I totally understand the amount of stuff you guys had to comb through.

The book is wonderful, I really am enjoying looking at all those photos and remembering my childhood visits to the park.

I wish you continued success with the book and I actually do hope there is a follow-up.

I am trying to remember the History of the Carousel. I think it came over from England and was steam driven at one time? We had another old Carousel at Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey Circus World in Fla. Both old carousels had alot of history to them.

The carousel that was at Circus World came from Bertrand Island Amusement Park in Mt. Arlington NJ.

It operated at Bertrand Island from the mid 1930's until the late 70's. I used to ride it all the time when I was a child since Bertrand Island was across the lake from me.

Although it got rough over the years I always liked Viper. The ride was short but the drop and elements were great.

If it were able to be reworked I would love to see a version of this layout running again.

You know what really grinds my gears?

When celebrities break the law and get off the charges because of their celebrity status.

They are people just like the rest of us and deserve the same treatment when it comes the laws of the land.

Paris Hilton gets a DUI and is sentenced to 45 days and she was out within 24 hours because the Warden said she was all stressed out.

She eventually went back and served what? 20 days of a 45 day sentence? That's crap.

I got a DUI back in April of 2008. I was sentenced to 7 months loss of driving privileges, 16 hours of some stupid class, over $1000 in fines and surcharges of $1000 a year for three years.

Did the judge let me get away with half my sentence?

Did I get a reduced fine?

Did my surcharge get erased and my driving record cleared?

NO!

I walked almost everywhere from June 9, 2008 (the day of the court case) until January 5, 2009, paid the entire fine and am still paying for almost 2 more years on the surcharges. Plus my insurance rate will sky rocket within the next year or two.

Paris Hilton got a new line of clothing, a new house, a new car, probably made another porn video with someone elses boyfriend again and had her DUI expunged from her record.

I had a blood alcohol level of .08 which is the legal limit in the state of New Jersey and it was my first and only serious driving offense in 23 years.

Paris Hilton had a blood alcohol level of .19 which over twice the legal limit in California and it was her third offense in California and fourth offense overall in less than 10 years of driving at the time of the latest incident.

Celebrities should be treated the same as the rest of us.
