Great spotlight for a great ride.
I used to love riding GASM but in the last 20 years I've out-grown the seats and harnesses. But it was fun all the times I did ride it.
It sucks getting old, fat and bald.

I like both El Toro and Nitro but I'd move, not remove, El Toro.
Wireless mouse/keyboard or wire mouse/keyboard?
-
I would like them to keep the Big Wheel open during FF but I know they need the area for the show.
Couldn't they have the show somewhere else and keep the Big Wheel open?

I am going for Fright Fest on October 12th. I am looking forward to seeing what they've done this year.
I hope to have pictures and information but knowing my luck someone else will have all sorts of stuff prior to my trip. LOL.
It just happens that I always hit the FF late October.
BTW, are they still running both sides of Rolling Thunder? I was there in July and August and loved that they were running both sides. I hope they continue to do so forever and ever.

Snoopy.
KISS (the rock band) with make-up or KISS without make-up?

I don't do waterparks. They never interested me.

On October 11th and 12th some friends and I are hitting Great Adventure and Dorney Park. This is gonna be fun.
Two parks, Two Halloween Festivals, Two days.
I'm psyched.

I rode it. It was good. I won't wait in line for it but if I get there early enough I'll ride it.
BTW, I never saw the movie. Will that enhance the experience?
-
I never noticed it before. Although the last time I was there later at night, in the dark, I was over by El Toro and didn't really notice much except the Giant Wheel.

1. El Toro
2. Nitro
3. Medusa
4. Runaway Mine Train
5. Dark Knight

I hate them. The rides provide enough water. I don't need some idiot that I don't know drenching me.
-
I'd like to see a Tilt-A-Whirl, Scrambler and a Flying Swing ride added.
The park does need more of the flat rides. And they have plenty of spaces available to put them.
Also I'd love to see an updated version of Freefall. And maybe bring back the Rodeo Stampede. That could go where the Super Tepee once stood.
One last ride I'd like to see come home is Condor. I miss that ride. It was awesome.

Keep it. The Buccaneer is a classic. Also, as previously mentioned, it operates great.
I see this staying for a long time.

Oh Yeah! I'd like that ride at GA.
Either in the Golden Kingdom or like someone said in a revamped MovieTown.
MovieTown needs a boost. Nothing against Batman but that should be the name, Batman Town. They need to rethink the MovieTown theme.
But ket's hope they get King Kong.

I really have no spotlight requests. I just look forward to seeing whatever ones the Admins/Staff here come up with.
So far I have not been disappointed and I expect I won't be in the future.
Keep up the great work.
BTW, I am looking through my old memorabilia and photos. If I find anything that could be helpful for the site I will send the information to whomever needs it.

I thought 1999 was ok. Seemed to me like it was more hype than anything.
Most of the new rides weren't operating all the time because of lack of staffing.
And then a lot of the new rides left after a few years with soem never reaching their potential at GA.
Medusa was the greatest ride out of the 1999 season and I still love it to this day. I also liked Blackbeard's Lost Treasure Train.
I'm just not sure I'd fit in it anymore. I gained a little weight over the last few years.

I am in agreement with everyone about the gum "artwork" in certain areas. It was quite disgusting. The tunnel of Rolling Thuner was extremely bad for years, thankfully now it is pretty good.
As far as security looking for and taking away Sharpies/markers, I am all for that too. Two years ago I went on Nitro and a train left with three kids in the front row. When they came back into the station the one kid had "tagged" the restraint. The ride operator called security and then made the kid clean it off before ejecting him from the park
People need to have respect for the park. The cleaner it is, the more pleasant the experience will be.

Wonderful job. It is great to see the old photos compared with todays pics. Great job.

My first coaster was Runaway Mine Train in 1974. I was a wee tot of 7 years old and I loved it.
I graduated to the big coasters a few years later with The Cyclone at Coney Island. But I always came back to Great Adventure.
I think I rode almost every coaster they had at one point in time except Kingda Ka.
Kingda Ka is too much for me.
If I want to go that high and that fast I think I should have an airplane around me.

Johnny Rockets has great food too.
The prices are ok, maybe a little high for some people, but you get a great burger and lots of fries.

For the upcoming 2008 season does anyone know what opening day is?
I check the official site and they have all of April and the following months showing TBD for To Be Determined.
Just wondering if anyone knows if it is weekends starting the first week of April like is has been for a while.
Thanks.

I guess my summer trip plans will have to include a trip to Myrtle Beach instead of golf at Hilton Head.

The lady driving the car with Bugs and Daffy looks so thrilled to be there doesn't she?

Super Teepee
in Shops & Merchandise
Posted
I thuink they should put Rodeo Stampede in the spot of the Super Teepee.
They could build a small stable type building around it and it would keep in the wild west theme perfectly.
Most members here agree the park could always use more flats.
It would be easy to decorate. Get some old saddles, ropes and other mscellaneous cowboy gear.
And Rodeo Stampede was kinda like a scrambler right?
There, problem solved.![B)](//content.invisioncic.com/h322748/emoticons/default_cool.png)
