  1. And who would have thought you would see that very same by-line used once again in 2005.
  2. Unless they remove those cabanas opening the gates would be a pain because they would have to clear them out of the way and then put them back in place after. Not that it would be a big job, but I could see t being an inconvenienve they would want to avoid to open up and area that may not get that much use.
  3. New Entrance Coasters After Dark or ERT Mornings?
  4. After seeing what the park's make-up department can do for things like FF I am sure they could turn just about anyone in the park into a plausible Mr. Six. Finding someone whose body type matches up will be the main thing I have a feeling.
  5. QUOTE (CoasterPete @ Feb 17 2009, 10:57 PM) I remember at Coaster Celebration that year them mentioning that it wouldn't be open for ERT because they had to dismantle it. I remember being pretty confused. Pete I can imagine a prize revolving around that now for the drawings "Ticket #42569 please come up, accept your hard hat, wrenches, and proceed to Road Runner Railroad where you will spend the day dismantling the ride for us"
  6. Some serious bragging rights could be on the line over lifetime rollback numbers
  7. No I know, I just find it funny how you seem to hear about lift problems with soe of the Wild Mice and smaller coasters built like this. YOu think it would be easier to ensure safety on some of these smaller models overall than something as complex as a KK or Nitro or anything of that magnitude. Just something that piques my interest I suppose.
  8. Who would have thought that with the major coasters in the park, the one with the rollback problem would be one of the smallest.
  9. CD New Safari pamphlets or New safari radio system?
  10. Not even the economy, but consider how bad of shape the company has looked in the last few years in terms of debt and their stock value and everyting. We should be lucky that we aren't seeing more rides removed to relieve some staffing salaries for the season let alone having money spent on the new stuff. I think at the end of last year most of us were figuring that the Medusa revamp was going to be the highlight of 2009, and even that has been at least equalled by some of the other projects going on right now. I think that the company as a whole has really done a decent job trying to give their customers some nice new perks for the upcoming season when clearly they really did not have to do a lot of what they are.
  11. Oh OK may have to check it out then because I certainly did enjoy both Nightmare and Corpse Bride. ON the movie note we saw The Wrestler this weekend and I thought it was very well done and certainly worth a shot. I was a little surprised the Kristi liked it as she hates professional wrestling and everything about it so going in she wasn't expecting much, but she left feeling that it was a very well done movie. So definitely give it a shot if anyone was thinking of it. So not gonna lie here, I'm kinda getting tired of these earthquakes every few days right now. Not that they are doing any damage or anything more than some ground rumbling and coming outta nowhere, but I would much prefer it to go back to the last 24 years of my life where there were none that I can remember.
  12. I noticed the waterfall on the map when I looked at it as well and that is what I first thought about when looking at it. It would be nice to see the water flwoing again on Skull Mountain as even the little with the strobes last year was nice so it would be like another step forward for the ride.
  13. Did you have to pay extra at your theater for the 3-d glasses. I know it sounds dumb but at our normal theater that is the one thing that stops me from seeing the 3-d films is the upcharge so to speak for the glasses for the shows. Considering the price of a movie today that extra doesn't usually seem worth it.
  14. That really seems like a logical location for the sfari to pick guests up. It would be wise of the park to also notate that entrance and the safari as a whole at the end of some of the shows containing animals like the Tiger and Dolphin shows. seems like the proper platform to mention a segment of the property some poeple might blow right passed in the morning or afternoon as they are arriving to the park. Besides after watching some lovely tigers display their abilities for you, a safari trip might seem like a natural fit.
  15. I think that this symbol would be an appropriate extension to that statemend In all honesty though it's nice to see the scope of work going on in the park in all the facets, and in all honesty this tour really broght to life many of the concepts we heard about through the planning board meetings so its nice to see the correlations. Besides with less than 2 months before opening this is some nice little filler material to our wait.
  16. This right here is a monster spotlight combination. There was some huge effort put into this considering just how many rides needed to be covered and how much information there was to put together to mkae it complete. I myself actually missed out on the War on Lines as I did not get back to the park at that point until 2001 where I finall had a season pass, so by that point in time things had already begun to revert to where they had been before the massive additions. Many of the rides listed here I never even saw in the park as I either did not venture to them, or they were not operational on days that I was there. This was an enormous concept by the park to attempt top put in place, and even though it did not pan out the way they would have liked it to, for a very short period of time the varierty of rides in the park was astounding. Perhaps one day we will see such variery again in a way that is both economically feasible and able to be staffed with no issues.
  17. Everything looks great and that's awesome that you guys were able to take a little tour of the park to get the scoop on what's going on in there. Seems like there are a lot of little projects going on all over the place, which is nice because no section of the park is really getting overlooked even if its only small little details. This was a ncie little appetizer to check out.
  18. I totally think we should have a coloring contest this coming season

  20. Didn't get that lucky, but was able to ride both at different points in time. Too bad more poeple weren't able to do so.
