This whole restoration in stages is nice in itself because for the next few years there wil consistantly be soimething bettered on the ride. It's like watching something grow up in increments.

I coud have sworn Dainan was trying to say the park opening was almost as fun as a dead soaking wet girl trying to kill you.

Welcome to the site and forums. I am glad to hear you came away with such a shining impression of the park, and it is really nice to get that insight from someone who doesn't get to experience the park as regularly as most of us on the boards here. Definately take in as much as you can from the site because the information offered here is stuff many of us are still learning from on a regular basis.

I chose the Big Wheel rehab and new lighting package because it is such an iconic part of the park, especially at night. It is like a focal point, and something that can be viewed an enjoyed from almost any place in the park. It is also a personal favorite of mine and for it to be enhanced makes it that much better for me.

^Better than a demolition at this point.

I think the shirts are reserved for the big guns on the site . Though I am sure that if everyone has seen each other's PTR's it isn't too hard to spot other members in the park at any given time. Heck last year opening day Harry waled up right behind me taking pictures, though me being a dummy said nothing to him

Twill be Nitro for me. As many new rides might come to the park, nothing satisfies me quite like a brisk morning ride on my Favorite ride

I look forward the reading/viewing this report. Makes me wish the site/forums were around after my January 2007 trip there. I have over 700 pictures sitting around on my computer of that one. Anyway not trying to take away from your trip and again I can't wait to read about it

This is one I am not too sorry I missed. When I really began going back to the park in 2005, I wasn't too sad to see it closed for the majority of our visits, and though I think Kristi was a bit disappointed that it was gone, I was really neither happy nor sad. I think these spinners just don't do it for me as a ride as I tend to get sick on things such as this and the Fantasy Fling. The sad thing, though, when one really thinks about it is that this was a ride whose demise was not from a lack of popularity, but simply a case of guilt by association in a ride sense. Another great spotlight though guys, especially for me on a ride I've never really cared to learn much about on my onw in the past.

I dunno I think speculation will continue up until the masses enter the park for the first time this season on April 4th.

That's not a bad thing though. I tend to do it when I wanna give an answer I know nothing about, and in all honesty that's what has kept me finding new stuff on the site I haven't checked out before at times.

As long a the park continues to operate and open each year there is always going to be some sort of loss and gain for the following season.
