Chiller
Kingda Ka would be the easiest roller coaster to make into a float. It has a simple design. Looking forward to seeing the float.

Up_Up_and_Away
Just a reminder that posts should contain a statement of substance, not just a one or two word response such as "I agree" and not solely emoticons...
29yrswithaGApass
On Sunday I noticed in a couple of the food stands along the parade route have a power box/light switch with a "Glow in the Park Parade" sticker on them indicating which switch to throw to kill the stand lights for the parade. pashacar
^ That is so cool. Why is this parade thought out 1000x better than every other aspect of SF's operations? Does it have to do with Gary Goddard, or do they just devote more time and energy to it than to anything else?

pashacar
^ You have to admit it's true. From day 1 there were barely any hiccups, from the ropes being placed to the lights going off to the parade itself, and that can't be said for any other aspect of the park's operations that I can think of. I'm glad it's so well executed; I'm just curious as to why it ended up that way. Edited April 23, 2009 by pashacar
Up_Up_and_Away
Oh it's true about the parade... I'm just being sarcastic about your opinion of the rest of the park's operations. I mean, seriously, you make it sound like Clementon...
Railer
It's all about the "attention to detail"
29yrswithaGApass
It is also a "learn as you go" thing too. I think I probably saw about five different approaches to how and when they put up the chains (later replaced with ropes). They just keep perfecting the process based on their experience of what works and what doesn't work well.
GAcoaster
It probably helped that Six Flags Mexico debuted the parade a couple of months earlier.
