Coaster Justin
They'd make so much more money if they launched them at Midnight
Yoshi
They might not be able to because of the people that live near the park.
ericthewanderer
What if Great Adv. had New Year's Eve be a special-ticket/upcharge event?People would pay like $5 over the regular ticket price and the park would open at like 5 PM. TylerRRC1972
Happy New Year Everybody. 2016 was Great, we hit 7 Theme Parks, 4 Trips to Great Adventure, 3 days in Hershey and Trips to Santa's Village and Story Land in NH, Edaville/Thomas Land in MA, Sesame Place and Storybook Land. Thanks to my nephew I was able to ride 8 Coasters I never rode before. 2017 looks to be another Great Year as well with three area parks getting major additions, Great Adventure adding a Dark Ride(much needed), Dutch Wonderland adding a S&S Coaster and Hershey Park adding three drop towers, can't wait to ride all of the new rides. Trips have already been scheduled to Great Adventure, Storybook Land, Dutch Wonderland, Hershey Park, Knott's Berry Farm, Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, maybe even a trip to Dorney Park, Busch Gardens and Kings Dominion or Six Flags New England. Everyone have a Happy and Healthy New Year.
IBOK
Tonight's fireworks were incredible! Great job GA!!! What a way to ring in the New Year! From the picture it looks like they were shot off near the parking lot. Thought they were always by the lake. Anyone got a video? Looks pretty awesome. Matt Kaiser
From the picture it looks like they were shot off near the parking lot. Thought they were always by the lake. Anyone got a video? Looks pretty awesome. They were shot off from the area behind Dare Devil Dive and the area behind Autobahn. There were also a few small ones shot off from right in front of us, next to the tree. The show was short (~4min), but really amazing! Pretty much the whole show felt like a finale. 29yrswithaGApass
It was really a great show rivaling anything that was ever set off from the lake. I honestly expected maybe a 10 shell countdown leading to a small to mid-size show but this was a full-blown aerial assault! Very impressive. Sluggo77
Was the attendance enough to make it worth it?
owtoty
2016 was a great year for me amusement park wise. I went to the park a total of 18 times! I'm getting my driver's license in July so I plan on going even more this year! I definitely made my dining pass worth it haha.

RC98
Wow that was really good, way better than I had expected! I'd love it if the park did similar size fireworks shows throughout the summer (maybe on summer Saturdays or something?).
29yrswithaGApass
The New Year's Eve crowd seemed larger this year than last, maybe because everyone gathered to see the fireworks. None the less, I think for many families Great Adventure has started a new NYE tradition for them. I know where I will be next New Year's Eve (just like the last two)!
