  1. Nitro is a great coaster, but it's well past time for it to get painted and make it look and run like new again. The station never looked great, so a makeover for it would also be a welcome addition.
  2. This massive building should have SOMETHING in it again. It would be great to have another indoor ride for those days when the weather isn't great.
  3. I just think if it's a cost saving measure, go back to selling poster maps. Years ago they didn't give out maps so they had information kiosks with maps throughout the park or you could buy a poster map for $1. They sold tons of maps to people, so they paid for themselves.
  4. It used to be just about every park printed souvenir poster maps-- they made money selling them, so it seems like a no brainer to bring them back.
  5. Six Flags passes have been a huge, confusing mess for years now. Take the opportunity of the merger to really streamline the passes while they integrate their pass programs. I know I really want to get the combined pass for next season if possible, and the sooner they can give us details on the new passes the better!
  6. It will be interesting to see if under the Six Flags name the Cedar Fair parks end up changing their names to add the Six Flags name, or if it will be like Cedar Fair currently where the Cedar Fair Park name in kind of hidden. I guess they'll have a branding consultant come up with a plan.
  7. This is a great perk for passholders-- and just makes sense to adopt across the combined company.
  8. Yes, theoretically without the cable launch they can finally reopen the original queue.
  9. This is an easy one, especially since my understanding is Coke provides the cups to the parks for free.
  10. Especially now with the merger, this makes a LOT of sense for them to do the same at Great Adventure. The maintenance costs for Kingda Ka are astronomical, and spending money on the changes would be cost effective and make it a better, more reliable ride.
  11. The idea that it has taken so long to move the Barnstormer ride is absolutely ridiculous. Reopen this ride, rehab the others and give the area some love.
  12. It's iconic-- it's THE ride that has always been the star of the park. It's still an outstanding example of a log flume ride.
  13. I feel like I wouldn't even mind them changing hours, but they seem to communicate it so poorly despite the fact that social media should make it easy to update.
  14. Much of the theming for Golden Kingdom was done by the same designers that did a lot of work for Islands of Adventure and the Busch/SeaWorld parks in their prime. It really showed... I know several people who were Great Adventure regulars who visited Busch Gardens Tampa and their reaction was "This is exactly what Great Adventure should be with the animals and rides all together".
  15. The pavement takes a beating from the winter weather and vehicle traffic through the park and just really needs better maintenance.
  16. Note-- The actual calendar will get this updated later today (I had an issue with my connection this morning) The Golden Kingdom was AMAZING when it opened, and it's really sad to see how it's just been decimated and let get run down over time. It's time for a rehabilitation or replacement instead of just letting the space sit under utilized.
  17. Cedar Fair actually spends MORE on maintenance than Six Flags. Cedar Point has the identical Ferris Wheel and it is impeccably maintained.
  18. Great Adventure used to have a full day of shows to see for those who didn't want to ride rides or needed a break, and now there is very little. It's past time to bring back shows, including a show in Showcase Theater.
