  1. The park is doing an All You Can Eat BBQ every day next weekend. And the debut of the Thrilleaders will be right before the Fireworks. It's 54.99 for adults and 38.99 under 54'. They do not have a price listed for passholders, and those prices include admission. You can only order the ticket's online. The official site has all the detail's.

  2. They were around for a while in the early days of the park. I'm not sure of the exact year they stopped selling them, but I think they were there from the beginning. The cart's are in the park now as flower carts, there is one in between the Fountain and Fort Independence behind the Liberty Square Gazebo.

  3. A hot day, Two kids with no school, Time to head for Hurricane Harbor. All of Discovery Bay is now open. No signs of any work, It looks like all is well with it again. On the weekend of the Fourth, every day has a diffrent band playing at the park. And I finally picked up a "Tube" Coaster Cup, and they are bigger than the "Coaster" Coaster Cup. They were training some new lifeguards at the wave pool and did rescue drills about three times during our visit. They had a swimmer pretend to be in need of assitance and they would clear the pool for the rescue. Everything was up and running and crowds were not too heavy. Overall it was a very enjoyable afternoon. Pics. are in my gallery. (as soon as they are un-hidden)

  4. Here's everything I can remember about that night. We were watching the show and they cut it short and closed the park. I remember alot of helecopters flying around with the spotlight's on, and they gave everybody a free ticket to return. I was 14 when it happend, and that was the thing we did the most in the park back then, hang out in the "Cavern Room" and scare all the young cuties coming thru. We were in their for about 30min. then we left for the concert. The pad that was ignited by a lighter was a jagged and ripped up, so it didn't take much to start it. And the reason the lighter was lit was because the strobe at the end of the hall, right above the pad was out. The hallway was long and narrow and painted like a black & white checker board. The idea was you would get scared by a ghoul and run away down the hall with the stobe and paint job. You would misjudge the distance and slam into the pad. But without the stobe it was a pitch black long tunnel that's why the lighter was light. The next day was when I found out how bad it really was. It's one of those thing's you never forget.

  5. My Family and I will be there no matter what. Were going to make it our Fireworks for the 4th. this year. We will have the kids with us so we won't be able to go wait for a coaster or anything, but maybe everyone meet by the Lakefront, just to say hello and check out the Fireworks. That don't sound too bad. And no one will have to do a T/R cause' everone will be there.

  6. I would also want to see a Haunted Castle Spotlight. I was in it the night of the fire (about 20min. before it happend) And we would spend hours in there scareing other quests. Golden Earring possibly saved my life that night. We left to go and see them in concert and when we got to the Arena we could see the smoke from the fire.

  7. I always loved the sound Sleestak's made and the Cave they would always be in with those Crystal thing's. But my favorite had to be the shot of the family going over the waterfall that took them to The Land Of The Lost. Those special effect's weren't too special. :Mickeymorph:

  8. Foreigner would be the only act that's close to my style of music. I've always liked Metal and Hard Rock. Well I used to like "Metal" now it's more like Foo Fighters, Puddle Of Mud stuff like that. The last "real" concert I went to was Korn at the Meadowlands about 7yrs. ago. It was their first Headlining Tour. When I was a kid growing up in Trenton I used to like Old School Rap, Sugar Hill Gang, Kutis Blow, so you might see me at Boys II Men, they had a couple of good songs back in the day.

  9. Jersey's gas prices are the lowest in the country. And the cheapest station was on Rt.541 in Burlington Twp. But the funny thing is it closed down a couple of month's ago. Now the best place to get gas in Jersey is on any Toll road. (Turnpike, G.S. Parkway) They can only raise prices once a week on Thurs. So today is the best day to buy it on one of those roads.

  10. On Screamscape yesterday he is reporting that the Glow In The Park Parade is fading. It says that alot of the light's are going dead and not being replaced. I watched it last night and it is NOT the case. From what I understand those type of lights have a long life span and should not be going out yet, and from what I saw last night they are not. I looked thru all the pics. I took last night including a lot that are not in my gallery and they look fine. So whoever his sources are, they are off on this one. Sorry, but it's true and you can check my gallery for proof. And while the "sarcasm" light is on maybe you can get rid of those annoying pop up's on your site.

  11. Sounds like a good time. I think I have an idea where the hot dog stand is as I thought I saw signs (not literal ones of course :) ) pointing to some sort of food item going to be served there. I am also glad the old signs are out since it does hint at some new stuff possibly coming to the ride which anyone who has read my comments knows I would like to see. Even if they simply put the same pictures only ones that could again be viewed I would be happy. Glad it was a good day for you!

The stand is in Nitro's que where the soda machines were.

  12. Ran to the park to pick up my Grab Bag, and it is very cool. Lot's of great thing's in it and I would like to say thank you to Harry and Tom. The program book from 74' is awesome. The Flying Elephants are still closed and the entire arm of one of the Elephant's is gone. It's more than a cracked fiberglass problem. The sign's that were faded have been removed from Scream Machine's que and hopefully will be replaced with new one's. A Hot Dog stand has been put in Nitro's que. There is alot of new merchandise in the shop's and some really nice new shirt's. Alot of shirt's making reference to 1974. I always thought they should capitalize on the history of the park and it look's like they are. Crowd's were light, and just about all the rides were walk on's, Even The Dark Knight. A good spot to watch the parade is at Movietown. We were right on top of it, and there wasn't to many people around with the Old Country being closed off. And of course, Pics are in my gallery. *R*

  13. Hi Pat-

Welcome to the forums! I know they had been using the original soundtrack from Survivor for a while, but I'm not sure what they're playing more recently.

I heard them play that Somewhere Over The Rainbow/ Wonderful World medly this year. That was the only song I knew or ever heard before. The stuff they do play is pretty good, whoever the artist's are.

  14. You had one hell of a weekend didn't you. I've also never been in Clementon (except for work P.S.E.&G.) I will try to make it there this summer to ride Tsunami, I mean J2 oh' I mean Hellcat. I hear they trimmed it up pretty bad though. Clementon is about the same distance for me that GA is 18mi. maybe a little more. So I really have no excuse, Except that you can fit the whole park in GA's parking lot. But I think the pricing reflects that though. This Fall my area also will have an indoor water park in Mt. Laurel, N.J. that is under construction now. Gotta' Love New Jersey, we do have some Amusement Parks.
