  1. 2 weeks from today I'm flying out to Utah! From there I'll be traveling to Yellowstone!
  2. Viper. Didn't it have a lap bar, shoulder harness, and seat belt?
  3. I had no problems with lines. I got there at 6 and was able to get on all of the major coasters by 9:30 with a reride on Thunderbolt. Goliath really was amazing. I loved the backwards lift and backwards drop. On the other hand, I was disapointed with Bizarro. It ran really slow resulting in little airtime and had a nasty rattle. I think that this may have been caused by the first car of the train being broken, and empty. I wish I could have rerode on the other train.
  4. I'm going to Six Flags New England tomorrow night for my first time ever!
  5. Wow. I shouldn't have believed wikipedia. RCDB has it listed as two trains too.
  6. Did Shockwave really only have two trains? I was watching a POV of it (at Astroworld) on TPR's Coasters In the Raw, and it really looked like there was three. I screen captured the part. It looks to have one in the station, one that the camera man is on, and one on the transfer. http://www.flickr.co.../in/photostream Edit: Here's a slightly better one. http://www.flickr.com/photos/79973644@N03/7331540276/in/photostream/
  7. Pay phones, park map, and water fountain(s).
  8. I rode the Sky Screamer yesterday. It was great! It's the perfect family ride, but still was a ton of fun. Can't wait to ride again!
  9. Just a few quick notes. -The Twister definitely has a new program. it now only inverts 4 times. It closed around 7:30 and I was on the last ride of the day. I've read reports saying Fiesta Texas's top spin has a new program too. Supposibly, it doesn't invert at all. I really hope Great Adventure goes back to their old program. -The Green Lantern was running great. The ride ops were also very fast and the trains barely stacked. Superman was the same way. -We made our way to Bizarro only to find then only running 1 train. We waited 25 minutes. -El Toro's crew was also great. Ride Count: Superman-1 Green Lantern-2 in a row El Toro-3 Bizarro-1 The Twister-1 At park 6:30-9:00
  10. I just got an email from Six Flags telling me that tomorrow, May 4th, is coasters after dark. The park will be open to season pass holders only from 6-9pm. I'm going. Who else will be there?
  11. Today was a Great Day for a Great Adventure!! We entered the park right as they were letting people to the rides. We got one of the first on Nitro, in the front row. We then switched to the back row, where we got two more rides without getting off. The ride ops were great. Third train was back, and in service. The line moved much faster with all three Then, we went over to Batman. Both trains were running, but the ride was stacking horribly. Maybe it was the lack of riders, but they sure were slow. Skull Mountain was next. The ops were great and were running to check the restraints. Awesome job. The room was also pitch black, which is much different from last year. Both trains were running. Where did the third train go? Next, we walked across the park and got a ride on Bizarro. Front row of course! There was no wait as they were running all three trains. The audio was working, but it only worked on one side of me. Kingda Ka was next. We got a ride in the middle of the train. The line was incredibly short. Maybe 15 minutes. The orange train was INCREDIBLY rough, almost painful. Afterwards, we went back and rode again, except this time in the blue train which was much smoother. Kingda Ka was running all day without problems. (15 minutes for each ride) Next, was Rolling Thunder. Both sides were running, but there was only one train on the left side. Operations were painfully slow. Also, the ride was in major need of a refurbishment. The blue train was missing multiple side covers and the ride just looked bad. The paint was peeling and fading. I rode on the right side. As we were about 3/4 of the way up the lift, the train stopped. After about a minute it started back up again. The ride was a little rattly and bumpy, but not too bad. I didn't get any airtime ;( (20 minute wait for 4 trains to dispatch) Bizarro again? Of course! I rode Bizarro in the back and it was great. The ops were double stacking every single time. (15 minutes) The park was getting crowded for the concert tonight, so we decided to head out. (Around 2) On a side note: Green Lantern still has only two trains, but operations seemed to be much better than last time. They rarely stacked them. Superman and El Toro were both running two trains and were stacking terribly. Ride Count: 10 in 3 hours Nitro: 3 Batman: TR:1 Skull:1 Bizarro:2 Kingda Ka:2 Rolling Thunder:1 Thanks for reading!
  12. It really seemed like the staff was unorganized. Rows were being checked by multiple people, and there was a lot of just standing around.
  13. I added my PTR from Great Adventure on TPR today. http://themeparkrevi...4313&start=3890 I will post it on here later. Edit: Link fixed
  14. Yesterday, we visited University of Southern Florida. That college is really close to Busch Gardens. They are about a mile apart. It was torture driving right past Sheikra and Kumba and not going in.
  15. It's opening May 22nd along with all of the other flats except bumper cars which are opening in June.
  16. ^ Yes, last season you had to wait in the normal line until you reached the stairs. You get to skip the cutbacks before going into the station with that line. You still have to wait a while, but the single person line helps.
  17. I just saw the Hunger Games. It was AMAZING.

    Freefall

I can't wait to ride Demon Drop at Dorney this May. Isn't Demon Drop shorter then our freefall was though?
