Rideosteel I totally agree with you about Knoebels! It is the best and my favoite park hands down. The rides, the friendly staff, the amazing food that doesn't cost you an arm & leg, the locale, the fact that you don't get the feeling they are trying to take you for all you're worth $$ wise. I too could keep going!!

Oh wow I went on Body Wars as a kid in Epcot. I remember it being hyped up and whatnot while waiting in line but the actual sim ride itself was cheezy. And I was just a youngin' at the time and was disappointed!! But I had totally forgotten about that ride til I read the above..

We have had so much snow & bitter cold temps this winter I am sure that has had an impact on their progress. Everytime ya turn around its snowing again...more on tap for tonite allegedly.

Sounding like a damn broken record. I've seen you post this on multiple threads. Yes people do care. I grew up going GA and i am sure i would be old by your teenage standards. I have mixed feelings about the removal/addition. I do feel that ga has nonchalantly taken out icons from the park. Who ever said the Teepee and the Conestoga Wagon, I am with ya. While they werent rides they made the park unique and contributed to the over all feel of the park. Its a shame that RT has had its expiration, but i understand the cost for up keep (which to me i think they should have invested in but whatever) I totally agree the theming sucks. The park does feel slightly.. trashy? I dont know if thats the word i am looking for but... Its an all over experience that is lacking. I think they rake you over the coals from the time you drive through the gates. Its a really expensive day there, (food, parking, up charge rides, etc) i live with in 22 minutes from the park and have my whole life. We are pass holders and continue to renew them because i want my kids to grow up with fond memories of the park as i did. On the same token my family and i will drive to Knoebels(4hrs away) in a heart beat cause the whole feel of the park and its totally different. Not that i am comparing them, mind you. Apples and potato chips. I am excited to check out the drop tower though no one else in my family will(kids are too small for the big ones yet) which was why RT was a great intermediate ride for familes. I have read alot of good points being brought up here about management, bad choices and whatnot. I do agree with alot of them but my post is already getting into rambling territory, so i wont get into it. But as a fan of GA for the past 34 years, yes I care.

I am super excited for the drop tower, but a lil sad to see a classic ride go at the same time. I rode Thunder prob a hundred times in my youth but not so much now. Still is always sad to see an original ride removed. Although i do understand why. The crazy long line for Zumanjaro will totally suck until the "new" wears off. Hell i still havent been on the Safari adventure cause the line is redic everytime i go.

Yeah this week has been decent for weather actually.... A few days were a lil more chilly once the sun went down but not bad! We went twice to the park. We would have went today again but i gotta work > was gorgeous today!

Yes to the above comments. Those asshats arent even from goddamn jersey...they are NY 'ers. And when people from the west coast hear you are from jersey, we always get " omg jersey shore...gtl!! blah blah" it embarasses me that we are associated with those people.

Yes sunday for us too. I dont want to deal w/ anything Mtv related and dont want to deal with the crowds either.

Spring on both for me too. My kids and I always go more in the spring before the crowds all start and the park gets trashed. We do go in the summer a bit, but try to avoid the place in the fall. Just too long of lines and tooo too many people. Not very enjoyable for us. In recent years the mobs of people in the fall just get bigger and bigger. Its cool to experience fright fest to say ya went but thats about it.
