I got to visit the museum today. It was great. Loved the little Adventure Rivers model! And the RT train made me misty eyed! I was hoping you (Harry)would be there so I could meet ya! But alas, it was not meant to be lol! Srsly though, nice job on the museum. I was trying so hard to not geek out and start rattling off GA trivia !!

And happy 40th birthday Great Adventure and us here at GAH Harry you do such an amazing job on this site, thank you. I cannot express how much time I have spent just checking out old pics and rides from long ago. I have been going to the park since I was 2 and now my kids who are 6 & 9 get to go too. Times may change, crowds may change, attractions may change but my love for this park will always remain. It is solely responsible for turning me into an adrenaline junkie today. So thank you as well Great adventure <3 here's to another 40!!

I agree. It is a classy move for them to memorialize RT this way. Yeah it sucks it got torn out for various reasons, I'm not getting into the politics of it, but I think it's cool they are doing this and I can't wait to see it. Last time I was there riding ET, I saw the sections left and got a bit sentimental.

The last time I was there , me and my 2 kids were in line for log flume. There was a group of 4 people in front of us that let another group of about 8 (friends of theirs cause they acted like "oh what a coincidence seeing you here, hugs!") cut in line right before the steps after the switchbacks. The line was about an hour long up until that point. The @$$holes actually said " yeah , sorry " as they all jumped over the chain and cut everyone. Such bullsh*t. These were all adults mind you. Not ignorant school kids. Adults. Even worse.

We rode blackbeards on sat. Yay for 2 laps! The one time we went on last season , they only did 1lap...I was so bummed, like I was shorted or something. But it was running quite rough on sat. I have a bruise on my hipbone from it

My kids loved that fun factory. They were sad to see it gone last year. It was nice if it started to rain...you could stay dry inside until there was a break in the clouds. But it was hell trying to drag them out of there I tell ya. And I loved that they had it attended so the bigger kids couldn't get in and trample the little ones.
