  1. Well, first, I would make lockers at each ride free. I think it is absurd that you have to pay $1 (i believe that is the price, correct me if I am wrong) for a one time use locker. This way, any backpacks, purses, etc that people have valuable things in can be kept in a safe place, for no cost. Then I would also place bins at every ride (much like Rolling Thunder had) so that people can place any loose articles they have in there.
  2. Still snowing here, but it should be ending within the hour. Estimating that I got about 18", tough to measure with all the snow drifts from the wind.
  3. I wouldn't travel at all tomorrow. The storm will still be going on all the way until late tomorrow night so the roads will still be terrible. During the day tomorrow travel will be impossible.
  4. "Opponents of the project say it’s taking one step forward and two steps back, as it requires the removal of nearly 15,000 trees at the site, identified as irreplaceable and vital to the Pinelands habitat" I do have to say that I agree with this statement. I would really love to see the park turn to renewable energy as this is the future of energy in America (hopefully). What they need to do is find a proposal which does not cut down so many trees so it can appeal to all, but that might very well not be feasible.
  5. Holiday in The Park was great. I went the last day of the season as my only trip for the event. But I would love to see it come back and I think if it does hopefully it will be even better. Not saying it wasn't already good but I could definitely see some areas that could have used some improvements, but overall it was really cool. I was expecting it to be more crowded, because I feel like whenever people went there was always relatively small crowds, especially for how nice the entire month of December was.
  6. RCTW, because to me it looks like it is a huge improvement from RCT3, and that game was really fun so I think this one will be even better
  7. I went to the park today too. It was my first time to Holiday in the Park, and I really enjoyed it. I also saw those guys replacing the lights and I too thought theey were taking them down for the season. I thought to myself "well I guess with only a few hours left of the season might as well get a head start"
  8. It's winter in NJ. It's suppose to be cold and snowy, might as well wish for it. If you don't like it go south lol that's how I look at it
  9. I don't complain about El Toro's music cause I love that kind of music haha
  10. I have heard El Toro play music in the station. Nothing specific but I have heard various songs in between the ads.
  11. I care about the environment a great amount and think we need to do whatever we can do preserve it, but clearly those people don't have a real argument. The solar panels would be an excellent idea. Right now I think we should be installing as much renewable energy as possible around the country, I see no problem with this project as of now.

Decided to take a trip to the park today. Only went 2 times this year so I figure I needed to go at least once more. Got to the park at about 10:35 and there was not many cars in the parking lot. A lot of the gates had yet to open for the park so it took about 20 minutes just to get in. Kingda Ka looked to be closed so we started at Superman which we walked right on to second row. After this we went over to El Toro which had absoluetely no wait at all, we walked right onto front row, and then got to re-ride in a different row. We saw KK running so we headed over there. First we went n Zumanjaro which had no line so we got right on. KK was the longest wait of the day which was about 15 minutes. Wanted to take the sky ride over to NItro but it was closed because of the wind, so we had to walk. Nitro had a station wait which took about 10 minutes for front row. Overall the operations for every ride were stellar as there was rarely any stacking of trains. As soon as one got back, another would get sent out. The park seemed to be getting a little busier when we were leaving (about 1:30), but still wasn't bad at all. It was a short but successful trip to the park. Ride count: El Toro: 2x Nitro: 1x Kingda Ka: 1x Zumanjaro: 1x Superman: 1x
  13. May try to go one of those days as I have not been to the park in months. Actually only been twice this year, way way lower than usual. Sadly I didn't even buy a season pass for next year.
  14. http://www.thenation.com/article/exxon-knew-everything-there-was-to-know-about-climate-change-by-the-mid-1980s-and-denied-it/ This is crazy. If this is true they need to lock these executives up for life and also fine Exxon an extreme amount of money. Use that money for more renewable/alternative energy. It's a shame that all they cared about was protecting their business, rather than protecting the planet.
  15. METS WIN!! Lets hope they can finish it off tomorrow!
  16. Maybe it is just because I am a Mets fan but I think the mets have full control of this series. deGrom pitching tomorrow so as long as the Mets can get some runs they should be able to win. If they don't win game 4, they should take game 5 with The Dark Knight pitching.
  17. I like this much better than the original idea. Glad to see them compromise to make everyone happy, hopefully.
  18. Doubt they will open tomorrow as it will be the same, if not worse than tonight was.
  19. Even though the hurricane isn't hitting, it's still brutal out there from the onshore flow. I don't know about where you guys live, but all day/night here has been pouring rain with very high winds. A lot of flooding going on too and it should only get worse tomorrow.
  20. Most models shifted to an out to sea scenario, but there still are a few predicting a hit. One model has been showing it going out to sea for days and now all the others are catching on. Time will only tell but it is getting more and more likely of only a minor impact, mostly from the rain tomorrow.
  21. Been following Hurricane Joaquin for days and I believe that now ios the time for everyone to really start paying close attention to it. Predicted to become a category 3 hurricane, and IF it were to turn and impact the east coast it very well could still have hurricane status. Of course the track is still very uncertain but I still think this is something we all need to prepare for.
  22. I agree 100% with everything in that article. Cutting down 18000 trees is entirely unacceptable. We live in a world where the environment is slowly being damaged and torn apart because of humans. Solar panels are the future to renewable energy, but when you destroy trees and animal's habitats, it doesn't work out. I love the idea of the park to run on solar power, but unless they build it over the parking lot or anywhere without cutting down the trees, then I am against it.

I took a quick stop by the park today. It was just my 3rd trip the the park this year (not including HH). We got to the park at about 1145am and the lot was already packed. The lines to get in were long but only took a few minutes. Once we got in we headed to Nitro which surprisingly didn't have as long of a line as I thought it would. The line was between the 30 and 60 minute signs. The line moved very quick because the dispatches were going great, The ride was being run really well and most of the time had no stacking of trains. After Nitro we took the skyride over to the other side of the park. The line took about a half hour, which was long because the line wasn't actually that bad. Once over there we went to El Toro. The entire first switchbacks were filled and the ride operator was telling people it was 45 minutes. However, the line was constantly moving as they were also dispatching very fast for this ride. We were able to get on back row in about 25 minutes. It was almost 230 and it looked like rain was coming so we headed home. Right as we were leaving the parking lot it started to pour and continued for a while. Overall, the trip was alright. There were large crowds but the ride operations were some of the best I had seen in a while so that made it a pretty good trip. Not sure i'll be making it out to the park again for a while, but I sure hope I do.
  24. Top wood: http://goldenticketawards.com/top-10-wood-roller-coasters-of-2015/ Top steel: http://goldenticketawards.com/top-10-steel-roller-coasters-of-2015/ Other categories: http://goldenticketawards.com/2015-park-and-ride-winners/ Some things I found interesting: -El Toro placed 2nd for the third year in a row. -Nitro placed 5th for the second year in a row -Europa-Park wins best park for second year in a row. Prior to 2014, Cedar Point won 16 consecutive years
  25. Just once. Not a fan of that water park. It's always packed and the lines are run very poorly. Don't get me wrong they have a lot of good slides but there are plenty of other water parks I would rather go to. Out of all the water parks I have been to HH is one of, if not my least favorite.
