Intense, Limited Run BATMAN™ Backwards
truepolak90 replied to 29yrswithaGApass's topic in The Park Today
Namtab is definately the icing on the cake for the 2015 season! Very excited to try this out! There is definitely a lot going on this season, with El Diablo in spring, Namtab in Summer, and the expanded fright fest in the fall; there's new things to check out all season long. -
2016 and Beyond Speculation at SFGA

California's Great America's Gold Striker looks awesome. I honestly wouldn't mind seeing a GCI however a RMC would probably be less maintenance because of the "hybrid" track and Six Flags first choice. It seems that RMC and Six Flags have a very good relationship. -

I know this might sound out of place but what about building sea animal exhibits like Six flags discovery kingdom has in the former Balin's jungleland area? An expansion of seafari discoveries perhaps? Even if its a small scale I think that animals like stingrays, penguins, sharks, and various tropical fish would definitely be a hit with the families. This is just a thought and I'm sure that there are many other priorities that the park has before this could even be considered. -
Oh wow, I never noticed that! I have to look for the dog now that you mentioned it! lol

Great Adventure chief: Crazy enough for coasters
truepolak90 replied to 29yrswithaGApass's topic in The Park Today
I'm glad their focusing on rounding out the parks offerings. Back in 2008 the park was pretty much roller coasters and children's rides with a very light handfull of family rides. I think the park has made great progress since then and things are looking in the right direction. -
I noticed that there are pink flamingo's in safari discoveries, I assume that the baboon's attraction was cancelled. I personally think that it was too small of a section for them. Hopefully they can be included in SORA. I hope they use safari discoveries because I enjoy taking a break and seeing the animals while I cut through to go to El Toro from Kingda Ka. lol

I think that if Zumanjaro was built on the side or back of the tower (granted that if the tower was straight and didn't slant towards the top) then we might have been able to see both running together. One thing to keep in mind about Lex Luther; besides California's regulations is that LL is attached to the side of Superman's tower. What I'm wondering is did the state approve both rides running together when the park submitted approval to the planning board and later changed their minds perhaps? One positive thing on the parks behalf is that they probably save some money on KK hydraulics now that the launches aren't as often as they were.

2016 and Beyond Speculation at SFGA
truepolak90 replied to 29yrswithaGApass's topic in The Future of the Park
I hope that what ever 2016 brings us, it will revitalize some of the run down areas of the park ( like Adventure Seaport, Movie Town and the back end of the boardwalk). If we were to get a RMC I would like to see something like Six Flags Mexico's Medusa inverted first drop mixed with Wicked Cyclone layout. A twisted hybrid woodie would complement our amazing out and back El Toro as well as offer two complete different experiences without trying to out do each other. However If we were to get a Premier launched coaster, I just hope it won't be a one trick pony like Full Throttle. Being that we did get two thrill rides back to back I wouldn't be surprised if they went with a family attraction like Justice League followed by a thrill ride in 2017. -

Hey everyone, was anyone on here able to attend the event yesterday? If so how was it? Any interesting information? -
Sorry about that, will do next time.

So I was wondering, what kind of park improvements do you all think we could see in 2015? I'm hoping they finally install the train ride in LTSP, put in the baboons like promised for 2014, and I would really love to see nitro repainted. Would love to hear everyone's opinion.

As far as February goes, I can see them announcing batman backwards, (hopefully) a paint job, maybe the baboons and a new show would be nice. It won't be a new ride or anything just small capital improvements around the park. Being that we got a small ride hopefully means money in the budget to fix up parts of the park.

2016 and Beyond Speculation at SFGA

I think B:TR at SFFT is going to be a hit, its looks very different to the intamin zac spins, theme park review has a video of trying the free spin concept out in Utah, and it looks awesome. -
Day 16- Reopen Showcase Theatre with a New Show
truepolak90 replied to GAcoaster's topic in 2014 Great ADVENTure Calendar
Our park is in dire need for a fresh entertainment lineup, even if its the only addition for that season, I would love to see a diving show, as well as a live music one. I know many people who used go just for the shows, especially grandparents who take their grand kids to the park. I would rather they eliminate the little shows like liberty gazebo and runaway county stage and just focus on using the bigger venues. A show on the lake would be great to see again... They do a good job for fright fest with entertainment and it draws the crowds, there is no reason the same can't happen for the summer time. -
I would love to see this section reborn! A nice family style wooden or launched coaster behind LTSP would complement the area tremendously; throw in a flat or two and include nitro and the rapids and you have a whole new section. Nitro could use some new paint...and some landscaping wont hurt either.

Day 13- Reopen the Old Country
truepolak90 replied to GAcoaster's topic in 2014 Great ADVENTure Calendar
I can't believe its going to be 8 years now that this section has been closed off, I would personally love to see a new ride replace chiller so that when they reopen old country, it will have the traffic flow that the section needs to thrive, which is the primary reason for its closure. -

I would love to see something like Maverick. We could use more Intamin coasters to balance out the B&M's. -
Could Green Lantern become a floorless like Mantis?
truepolak90 replied to sixflagsdude101's topic in The Future of the Park
I think Apocalypse at SF America and Georgia Scorcher would benefit with floorless trains even though they only have two inversions each. If GL got modified then corporate won't see the need for Bizarro or to have two floorless coasters in one park. If GL were to get floorless trains its only because Bizarro would be moving to a new park, or vise versa (which would be okay with me, send GL off and keep Bizarro) :-) . ( It would be a win win for them but not so much for us). I don't mind having it the way it is now. I don't care much for stand ups but it offers variety for our coaster line up. -

truepolak90 replied to 29yrswithaGApass's topic in The Future of the Park
According to Six Flags recent additions chain wide, these are the possible rides we could see for 2016. - A RMC Hybrid from scratch (Ex: Goliath) - A Wing Rider Hopefully breaking the tallest inversion record with a launch please! - A Justice League Dark ride (Movietown or former simulator building, go karts can be relocated). - A S&S 4D free spin, Bigger and badder than BTR at SFFT. - An Intamin zac spin, but the S&S free spin looks like its more fun, can't say much until BTR opens. - A GCI wooden coaster can be possible but the new management hasn't installed any yet so this might be less then likely. - A Premier launched coaster with hopefully a much longer layout then Yolocoaster. The following is something I would expect SFGA to add after a major new coaster/ride on a off year. - A revamped childrens area ..again like Bugs Bunny Boomtown - One of those top spins replacing twister that La Ronde added, also known as a pounding surf in RCT3. - A Tsunami water ride by mach (I forgot the actual ride name) - Flying Scooters have been popping up at SF parks recently as well. Wishful thinking - A record breaking #Giga ala Jersey Devil - S&S 4D X like the one @ SFMM - Frisbee, a large one or a zamperla disko - More and more flats.. Last but not least .... SHOWS!! and lots of them. That's all folks!
