S&S is usually pretty reliable, well as far as their drop towers go. I always see them working, unless its a part replacement here and there which is common for any ride. Also if you have 3 towers, one of them could offer a different ride experience similar to Dorney where one shoots up and the other just down.

That makes sense now! Smart business move for them.

Just curious, why is the official opening day so long after the preview day? This slide looks very fun, can't wait to try it.

Originally the queue was supposed to go between station and the Arena, and patio where the current queue is going now if I'm not mistaken. The way they have it now looks like it will hold crowds much better. ESPECIALLY if crowds were heavy this way the line can overflow behind best of west and wrap around log flume entrance (not that I ever hope the line gets that nuts).

I like the queue being where the shoot out building is a lot better. The original plan looked very tight especially if there was a concert.

Now that you mentioned I take it back. I got flash pass at HH, NEVER again! I almost lost my patience because its mostly only for getting tubes then actually getting to the ride.

Awesome trip report! I love Dorney Park. The fast lane there is a joke, they should have it for WWK instead of the coasters. I was very lucky to get to check out Knotts last year, Wind Seeker was awesome and made me really nervous. Great photos and I can't believe that Thunderhawk is 90 this year!

The size and animals in the safari alone is outstanding, and the fact that our safari is going to offer Camp Adventura with zip line and close interaction will beat any other safari in my opinion. Also I love the view of Kingda ka, El Toro, and Bizarro from the safari. The animals and background skyline is such a outstanding feature that you can only experience at Great Adventure.

The quality of the safari themeing is reminding me of The Golden Kingdom! I'm so happy to see they are building the retail store after all too. Park looks great!

This is really wishful thinking, but I would love to see the water slides relocated to adventure seaport and theme it to Adventure Rivers for nostalgic reasons. Relocate part of the maintenance area and have Nitro tower the area. Transform Congo into a Lazy River with falls. They could use the Lazy river and wave pool in the current water park and build a tropical "camp ground" kind of resort where the current Harbor is now. This would be like hitting two birds with one stone. Also the park would only have to invest in stairs and themeing, as well as relocating kids rides. (Bring back Balin's Jungle land and expand BBNP into the Log Flume peninsula with the old LTSP and Safari kids rides and maybe one or two in Fantasy Forest!) This would make SFGA a theme park that offers a much better day experience then any other theme park could. (3 parks in 1). I could see people from Florida flying up to NJ.

I just saw a picture that was posted on instagram of the splash pond. It looks like it will be done very well and really suprise people who thought it would be a cheap knock off of Disney. The themeing and details look outstanding so far. The best part is that there are multiple sections not just strictly one theme.

1. A Rocky Mountain Monster 2. 4D (x2) 3. Giga that goes out and back (not like intimidated) 4. Premier (full throttle) 5. Mack spin coaster (they look fun don't judge me lol)

I love Bizarro, I would rather see a RMC replace Rolling Thunder with a similar layout but taller, steeper, faster, and extend all the way to the old Safari entrence. That would be epic. Iron Thunder anyone?

Had anyone seen Sally's new Justice League Alien Invasion dark ride? That would be an outstanding addition to the park and perfect for movietown. Don't get me wrong i would love a new coaster or drop tower as well. The rumor mill has been quiet for 2014.

The safari is usually open untill the end of September. Imagine getting dropped off at zombie zone in middle of no where!!!? That would be sick and people LOVE the hayride and miss it,

Great trip report! I Love the direction they're going with the Safari. It looks like its going to be an outstanding attraction. I was wondering do you guys know if the surrounding Frontier Adventures section will be getting any kind of upgrade or rehab like the Log Flume and Best of West? This season would be the perfect opportunity to freshen the area up with the new attraction being the center of attention. I am also loving all the TLC the rapids, Character Cafe and Movietown are getting. Its looking to be a really great season!

If they turn back the falls on the Rapids it would be like getting a new water ride experience that the park has been needing since removing Water Effect. This is exciting to hear! With them putting so much investment into fixing the ride up, I'm hoping that they plan to keep this ride for many years to come. With all effects working this really is a fun ride!

I wonder if they've been reading the Great ADVENTure Calendars. Its great to see them so much tlc into the buildings and rapids ride.

Awesome Trip Report!! I agree with you about Skull Mountain, not a big fan of the ads. However, I hope they can get the waterfall running this year. I also love the scrambler and bumper cars, it really helps out the parks line-up and has families in line all the time.

My money is on a Record breaking wing rider since Gate Keeper snuck the tallest inversion on SFMM. However I wouldn't mind a Drop Tower with a bunch of flats In movie town and Old country with maybe a Priemier or Zac Spin thrown in! I Can't wait till we start seeing site prep and get a better idea!
