could they sell pieces of rolling thunder to the fans of the ride? Just like small pieces of track or wood. i think its a good idea and they could make a little money in the process. It would be nice to own a piece of great adventure history.

I was talking to some people while in line for rolling thunder on Saturday. We were thinking that there has to be more behind the story than just to make a path. Maybe its too expensive to rehab? Also I think they want the path not too close to kingda ka launch area.

i am going on the 7th. i'm glad that el toro is back up and running. I will be going on the slingshot for the first time! cant wait! the real reason i am going is to ride Rolling Thunder one last time

i love how different the skyline looks. Seeing a movie brings the history of this great park to life.

yeah..i waited 45 min for maverick. Still it was much better than the regular line which was over 2 hours! they do limit how much can be bought but i think they need to limit it more. I think they are both good if its your one and only time at the park. I got it cuz we needed to leave early that day for the 7 hour drive back home

oh ok. i haven't been on it in years. last time i was on it, i got off, my back hurt so much that it hurt to breathe. lol. i will take your word on it and ride one last time before its gone.

While on vacation, I visited 2 cedar fair parks. Kings island and cedar point. Both parks had a thing called "fast lane". You spend extra money for a wristband and you can skip most of the lines on most attractions. At cedar point, we paid $70 each on top of our park tickets but only waited in two lines. They had a "gold" option which included their newest coaster (gatekeeper) and top thrill dragster. They only hand out a certain number and you can ride as many times as you want. I have never tried the flash pass but I think the fast lane is a better option.

This is kinda like the original plan to make it like a resort. I think the park needs to expand and have better crowd control before this happens. We need more things to do than just rides. People need to be in other places so that they r not all in lines. It definitely needs to be more organized.

I used to like rolling thunder, now I cant stand it! (Hurts too much) but its still a classic icon of the park. So many icons are disappearing. Conestoga wagon and teepee..all this change can be good tho. It opens many possibilities for new rides and more coasters! Should great adventure sell themselves out in the process tho? Maybe find a way around removing rolling thunder. Put the path someplace else. They are so worried about the launch cable on kingda ka snapping, that they dont want people around it. At cedar point, you're allowed next to top thrill dragster which is basically the same ride! They even have bleachers to watch the launch and a tunnel that goes underneath (like the old kingda ka queue). I think if they kept rolling thunder and refurbished it, it could stay alive

i said opening day. I feel it should be open but i also understand that things happen that causes delay.

i always ate at the park. my wife and i would eat at best of the west. we both would get chicken fingers, fries and a drink. Definately gonna get this! i buy my season pass through my job, i hope they offer it soon!

still my favorite coaster at great adventure!!

I get a season pass every year and its a great value but the price of parking is ridiculous! I get a parking pass every year too but I feel parking should be included with the season pass. It will be sad to see the end of the drive through safari. Won't it cost the park more to operate the trams? I also imagine they will have a tour guide too! That's how they have it at Disney's animal kingdom.

I can't ride this anymore. The last time I was on it was 3 years ago. It hurt my back so much that it hhurt to breathe. How does one stand up on a coaster? I never understood that. How and why?

all good things must come to an end. I was wondering about the single rider line, do you have to wait in the regular line until you reach the stairs?

I would definitely buy it! I love the coupons us season pass holders get, but I would like more. I think they would lose money if you pay a 1 time payment and get a "free" meal evrytime you come. I think maybe a regular discount with season pass. This way, we get the food cheaper and they still make money. If the food pass is $75 for 1 meal a day per person, I know I would go beyond that limit real quick. The meal plan I had at Disney world, it was all kept on your keycard/pass. They would scan it for snacks, beverages and meals. All I eat at great. Adventure is the chicken fingers from best of the west and I get a nerds rope. If there was a meal plan or discount, I would probably try more food.

I am happy that they are finally getting flat rides. I love great adventure, dont get me wrong but there isn't much to do. I go there late in the day to relax after work. It would be nice to have more variety in rides

What happened to Bizarro? No sound. No mist. And no drill thingy.

one good thing about that path being closed is that earlier in the day, el toro and bizarro lines were empty! That was a nice change coming from superman and Green Lantern.

I do that all the time if i'm there myself. I don't consider that line cutting. Green Lantern has a single rider line and they do that with the people in that line. Each train should be filled to max before leaving station.

I got line cutters ejected from park when they cut on el toro. And they were giving out tickets then. it works! The guard asked to see their tickets and the tickets of the group in front of them and the numbers were way off. My wife said that because of these line cutters, she does not want to come back. We don't want that happening to other people too

I was in line today for NITRO. It was a very busy day. All rides had extremely long waits. The line for Nitro went maybe 5 rows into the queue section. I got in the row before it goes into the path, and a group of 7 opened the chain and just walked in front of everyone. I am one not to allow this. The guy behind me pulled out his cell and called security. On the way up to the ride, he called 2 more times. The group went on the ride and left the ride. Nothing was said to them and nothing was done about it. The guy and I filled out a report and talked to security. We were told that if it happens again they the group will be removed. It shouldn't have to happen again. What if they keep doing it and nobody else says anything? I love Great Adventure but they really dropped the ball on this one.

sweet! now i can finally buy a souvenir bottle! i would never buy one because of the lockers! it's such a great deal! and i dont mind paying for the lockers, it's only $1. It was the hassle of getting one that bothered me the most. RAILER is right though, travel light!! it's good that security will be placed at the entrances because soo many people got up to the station just to get turned back to put something in a locker.

just like that stupid paintball thingy blocking dream street path. I understand completely that the park wants to "push" people into the boardwalk area for them to play the games so the park can make more money. That part of the park is in no danger of having a lack of traffic due to the new green lantern and superman. People will walk that way regardless just to go on those rides. I am furious about the closure of the Golden Kingdom path!
