  1. It seems to me that a lot of prices decreased this year.
  2. I like that idea joeyc98! I did that one year and I got in 5 rides in the back row!
  3. I normally do Kingda Ka first then superman and green lantern. Those end up having the longest lines. Might just do superman, green lantern then el toro. I'm not sure yet. I'm going saturday and sunday.
  4. I recieved a survey from Six Flags yesterday. It was about the appearance of employees. It asked about tattoos, bracelets, and highlights in hair. They are changing policies on these. I put at the end of the survey that all i'm concerned about is the line jumpers and security.
  5. besides nitro, what other coasters would need seatbelts? I know on nitro, i don't fit well in the restraint. Either its too tight or loose enough that i can move a little too much.
  6. I used to buy everything at the park. I would pay for the season pass parking at the parking booth. They give you a receipt that you take to the season pass processing. This year i'm buying the Gold pass which includes the parking. One year though the parking attendant didn't know or didn't want to be bothered with doing a season pass parking and told me that during season pass processing, they would reimburse the difference. They did but it's not how it works.
  7. I'm going on both days. I was going to go on saturday with my cousin, but thats opening day for his baseball team. I have to go with him on sunday, but i cant wait one more day so i'm going on both and taking off that monday. Everytime i have gone on opening day, it hasn't been busy. In the morning, i rode NITRO 5 times in a row. If nobody is in line in your row, you can stay on. i wonder why it's never crazy busy? Weather? Maybe not many people realize its open? Either way, i think spring is the best time to go if you want to avoid crowds.
  8. Maybe to add strength to the overall structure??
  9. To be honest, i think anything is better than what we have now.
  10. I was just checking out the prices for season passes online. My job offers discounts but they don't have the season passes on there yet. they normally don't offer it until may. It seems to me that the prices and deals change so much, that I never know when to actually buy it. Normally i spend $120+ each year for the pass and parking pass. Now its $104.99 for both?? Thats crazy!
  11. yea. we have to look at it from a finacial point of view. More money means better rides and attractions. (hopefully)
  12. i'm pretty sure they will not relocate any rides just to make a themed area. It seems like it would be too difficult and cost too much. If they were to do anything in movie town, they would add new rides with the appropriate theming.
  13. Lines will be crazy for a long time. I don't know when i'm going to ride it. Maybe first thing early in the morning. Thats what i do with Kingda Ka.
  14. those are some scary lines! I know they have a long wait ahead of them. I feel bad. Waits for Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain can easily be hours.
  15. I love the fireworks!!! Saturday night lights was my favorite. Saw it 3 times!
  16. I love Disney world! I've been there 5 times and can't get enough. This is all about money. They will sell more or have a special park pass option to have more fastpass. The old way was better and there was hardly ever a wait in the fastpass lane. You do miss alot of the scenery in the queues though. I was last there in november 2011 on my honeymoon. We also went to universal and there, you pay extra on your park ticket for a skip the line pass and you can reuse it as many times as you want, no "reservation". This works well unfortunately it wasnt busy when we went because it was a rainy day, so it was a waste.
  17. I want to see the path that goes to the ride. I think the construction of the ride itself is simple and straight forward. The biggest change will be the path and the new area.
  18. The park itself should be on leveled ground. It's tiring walking up hills like Hershey Park. Terrain coasters are great and are unique to the parks they're at. Like Phantom's Revenge at Kennywood.
  19. i voted stunt arena but but Coaster Justin made a good point. That area needs to be updated badly. If the arena was torn down, that would free up a lot of space for rides.
  20. A train would be great! There can be a "sneak peak" of the safari, and there can be stops throughout the park!
  21. YES! my favorite part of early season is getting to the park early and reriding the rides! i remember one year, i rode NITRO four times in a row! never got off!!
  22. I used to always eat at Best of the West. I still do but the food quality has dropped so much. They went from delicious and hearty portions of potato wedges, to curly fries, to regular fries. The chicken tenders (which i always get) are more bread than chicken and they are smaller. The price remains the same or goes up. I do not mind paying more for better food. I'm sure most people would agree that good food is worth the price. I went on a trip this summer which included kennywood, cedar point, and king's island. All these places had much better food. Its a shame kennywood beat Great Adventure when they dont have corporate funds available to them.
  23. I was looking at the map and i'm amazed how much undeveloped land they have.
  24. i was just looking at the original concept. Does Great Adventure still own the land across from the lake?
  25. Movietown definitely needs a makeover. Its a whole section of the park that needs work. I think before they paln any new rides, they need to deal with management 1st. With new rides comes huge crowds. Great Adventure does not have the capacity for large crowds right now. Yeah they have the room, just not the manpower.
