My first stand up was Mantis at CEDAR POINT. I did not like it because how rough it was. Then my second was shockwave at king's dominion and i actually liked it! The only problem is the time it takes to adjust every seat and explain to people that the "bicycle seat" is not a seat

i never knew this queue existed. I've always wondered where that path that is blocked off went. That path was already closed the first time i rode it.

I hope they get rid of the lockers, that is the only reason I never buy a souvenir bottle. Even tho a lot of people do not like them, it is a good way to make money, but the workers in front of the ride queue should do a better job at stopping people with items that have to be put in the lockers. So many times have i seen people turned away from a ride at the last minute and had to wait in line again because they had something with them

so sad. just found out today. made me sick. it's been awhile since i was on the forums. thats what happens when you don't keep up on things. Every time i went to the park i would ride it. Knowing that someday it wouldn't be there anymore. I didn't know the last time i rode it was going to be the real last time. I was there last saturday and didnt even notice. all i noticed was superman was down and thought to myself the lines on other rides will be long since superman holds alot of people in line for a long time.. but it's true. all good things must end and buddychrist is right. look at all the rides that have gone and new rides took their place. it's progress and it's what Great Adventure is all about

i'm soo upset! felt like throwing up! just found out today about GASM!! this is what happens when you don't visit the forums enough!! I knew this day would come!! thats why everytime i went to the park, i rode it. I never knew the last time was really the last time. but all good things must come to an end. excited about the new ride!

wildcat isnt bad at all.somebody behind me in line said it was #3 roughest coaster. the hurler, in fact all the woodies at kings dominion were pretty bad. if u want a rought coaster, try the 1 at clementon park. whatever it's called now.

i am so mad i missed the opening. I forgot the exact date!! i knew it was may 20 something. i actually thought it was going to be on sunday or monday. oh well. i'm going friday and sunday so i'll get my ride. i wonder if i should go on that 1st instead of kingda ka??

will the ride be open when the park opens for the day? or will the time be pushed back like medusa was? im pretty sure it will be open but i want to make sure before i go running back there and it not be open.

does anyone notice how when they show el toro on ads, that its not el toro? what ride do they show?

i just thought of this. Everytime i go to GA, i go on the coasters in the same order each time. the order goes: kingda ka superman scream machine el toro medusa (bizarro) skull mountain nitro batman i get done all the coasters normally by 1:00pm if i'm at the park by opening.

one thing i never understood. When a ride breaks down, they know what the problem is right? and they know how to fix it and approximately how long it will take to fix it right? so why not say how long it will take to fix the ride instead of standing in line for half an hour then finding out the ride won't reopen (kingda ka) lol.. that only happened to me once cuz i learned my lesson, but it was very annoying and everytime i'm in line for a coaster and it breaks down i say this to my friends..also, is there any reason not to run a ride a full capacity? i find this problem at every theme park. i can see rides that have 2 stations that theres a staffing issue with that. but most coasters have 1 station so theres no need for additional people. why wait until the line is out the queue to put more trains on the track? 1 more thing... the guy that looks like DJ from rosanne whos in the booth on el toro.. last year he was very rude.. this guy couldnt fit on the ride and he said "there is a test seat at the entrance, use it" so everytime i see him i say "hey the jerk"s workin today" hahaha.. i'm glad they fixed the bridge behind el toro and added poles so noone can drive over it again

yea there is nothing worse than going to a park and the rides being closed due to weather, especially if its just cold, i say if the ride operates safely in low temps, than people brave enough to ride it should be allowed to.

i have a quick question. Will the season passes be $89.99 at the gate on opening day? i remember freezing on nitro because i decided to stay on 4 times in a row cuz if nobody was in your row waiting, you were allowed to stay on.. but i liked it cold cuz most of the time its hot, so its a nice change, also it being the beginning of the season, its not busy as it is in october when its cool

I think it would be easy to add an old flat because you're not really building much. Just basically putting it in an old empty spot and plugging it in right?

Sure the track will be the same, but the elements in it will be different. The ride is supposed to be a new experience. If it was just a name change n a paint job then don't add it, but since it wont be EXACTLY the same as before, maybe you should. Just a thought

i was just thinkin how annoying that frickin paintball thingy is....ITS IN THE WAY!!! ok.. i know the blocked it off 2 get people into the boardwalk area, but that was b4 superman n stuff...also alot of people take that way 2 kingda ka sooooo... move that paintball place so i can finally enjoy an undisurbed walk.. lol

yea good point... too expensive.. nice idea tho. ive seen a simialarity between darkastle n spiderman at universal orlando. almost the same ride just different characters. anyway, the main problem i see with batman themes, is that the themes r made after certain movies. these movies get old n after time, bring the rides down 2. i mean on a busy summer day, batman still has a long line, but look at the theming, almost nothin left.. i noticed on the darkastle queue, that there looked like there used 2 b a preshow, but now u just walk thru it.. thnk that could happen 2 DK in the future... once it become old, the preshow will become boring.. think we need a "general" batman theme.. not modeled after movies, but batman in general.. somthing that will withstand the test of time better

they're gonna have music on the ride... on the website it says they're doin it like the X2...but what kind of music do u have since its in a country western area? as far as the colors, it should match the area, but a brown n yellow coaster? i like it...but im sure a lot of people wouldnt like it... how about an orange?? lol well im goin on it tmrw (sunday nov 2) 1 last time.. i love this ride.. i sit in the back on all coaster but on medusa since im tall, i hit my legs on the seats in front of me when it goes thru the twists.. lol.. but this ride is soo smooth.. i go on it everytime i go.. its a must.. wonder it theyre gonna change any ride elements..

so the question no is whats gonna happen 2 that whole section? its a big part of the park so something has 2 be added there.. i mean they wouldnt have a whole section closed 4 ever.. they started the batman theme there.. it was nice with the stunt shows, chiller and batman.. chiller was removed and now we have the dark knight, a new batman themed ride... so with this new birth of batman, should they stick 2 this theme or revise it 2 a DC comic theme.. we already have a lot of DC superheros. add some flats themed after some heros n stuff

yeah true.. i met a couple in line for batman and they said they were from maryland and that sf america is soo boring that they drive up here.. I've been there twice and can vouch 4 them.. lol
